Cowtown Classic May 10th

The accepted teams list from the website. I included the league and place within the league. DTx Red S should take this tournament. It might be a good indicator for some teams for the Classic D3 tournament though.

DFW TEJANOS 99B (BARROW) --- Arl. D2 - 2nd
FC COBRAS 99B --- Arl. D1 - 3rd
FORT WORTH FC FWFC 99B WHITE --- Arl D1 - 9th
NTX STRIKERS '99B BLUE --- Plano D2 - last
ROCKETS FC U14 BOYS --- Plano D3 - 3rd
TEXAS LIGHTNING 99B BLACK --- Classic D3 - 6th

Been to this tournament many times on both the rec and select side. I find it very odd that a 5th place CL D2 team would enter it. Preseason maybe to work on some things without pressure but postseason???? Gotsoccer points?

Does anybody pay attention to gotsoccer points?

Doubt it is for points as I don't even see the tournament listed in the GotSoccer tournament listings. There may be no GS points awarded for it.

Could be that there is just not a lot of options for tournaments other than state cup until mid-May and they want to keep the team sharp.

Just FYI, only tournaments that pay an extra fee to GOTsoccer will show up in their "tournament listings"....
and your team receives points for any tournament scheduled using the GOTsoccer software. (if you advance enough). Remember rankings shown in GS are only based upon tournaments and League play that use GS. its an internal system, so you have to keep that in mind.

(hear that Plano Premier League? why do you not use GS? It would be nice)

Liverpool registered and did not get in. If another U 14 team registers we will get in.

i guess the same can be said about the Tx lightning D3 team who use certain guest players from the gold team(as long as they arent playing) to give them a bump

I disagree. I believe the top Arlington and Plano teams can play with a D3 team. Especially a middle rung D3 team.

I bet TXL Black is getting ready for the challenge tournament. If so, they likely will not use guest players. However, I could be totally wrong.

this D2 team isnt strong anyway matter of fact the tx lightning team will probably win this tournament, this team coupled with babyhipsters BFS equals a "W" over the top PPL and APL teams. hell any PPL/APL/REC team can "play" against a D3/D2/D1 or even pre academy team in ntx....now the results may vary

I would think TXL Black is getting ready for the challenge tournament. I would not think they would use guest players for this tournament. However, I could be totally wrong.

yea i forgot about that! you could be right sir? or not? i believe both Tx lightning teams will stay D3 anyway

I think they will too. TXL Gold had some bad luck with injuries this season. I thought they would finish in the top 2. The are strong all across the field.

I thought TXL Black showed a lot of growth and improvement during the season.

Tx lightning gold is NOT the same team without their BFS this was evident this past seasom as the injuries refer to him.

my BB loves the game and is pleased to play with any club or team if invited, just so happens that's 1 team who has never asked him to play. We asked on 1 occasion and was basically told " no thanks". Bb will not field with them in this tourney

tx lightning black is a very solid team and a team i think could easily play in d2
