for winning Flamefest..however a big tip of the hat to Solar Gold that sent us packing early back to East Texas. Hopefully the boys learned a valuable lesson, play to the final whistle. On 20 points coming into the 3rd bracket game a tie or loss would get us through (unless Solar 98 and Pumas in Bracket C tied) Up 1-0 at half, we came out flat and too their credit Solar Gold ramped it up and pressured the whole half and got a deserved goal in the last 5 minutes from hustle and poor clearance. Tried to ice out the game and gave away a corner literally in the final seconds and once again to their credit they put in it and that was it 2-1 final. Then Solar 98 and Puma's 98 tie 1-1 and that as they say was that. Tough for our group but you had to admire the effort from the Solar boys...

Congrats to Wizards 01 boys for showing a consistent performance; some times looks like they need more goals Smile

but they took care of business leaving in the dust two D1 teams. TX Lightning Sampaio as erratic as always with a knockout at the last round by a D3 team scratch

. Dallas TX South not bad, but suffered the consequences of an early goal and a defeat by the wiz boys. D1 next season may lose some good players, but will for sure be very interesting.

The team that beat Texas Lighting is going to D2 Classic, and they also knocked off Coppell FC. Not a bad showing for a team that I am sure no one predicted would even make it into the Semi's.
