Re: 00 Plano Labor Day.
The Tennessee and Lousiana teams both qualified for regionals last year. Do they have pre-academy/academy in those states?
The Kansas team is a top team in their state as well. The Eddoa Aguilla team lost in quarters last year after winning the bracket. All sound like strong teams.
I will wait to make predictions after premier league games this weekend--FCD East, DT Red and Solar all play and we'll get a sense of how depeted those teams are from academy/pre-academy.
Although, I haven't seen them play, Andromeda's pre-academy team will not win it all.

Re: 00 Plano Labor Day.
Its interesting to see some new NTX teams in the gold level. I see LP Kuyt, TFC00, and Texas Toro's all up in gold.
Good luck to all the teams in the Gold bracket as well as the rest of the rest. It's great to get back to the pitch and watch our boys compete!!!!!!

All three teams easily won both of their Premier League games against the Oklahoma teams. FCD and Solar scored more than DT Red.earbucket wrote:

Re: 00 Plano Labor Day.
the midland chivas are a combined Midland team. they picked up 6 players from weaker Midessa boys. arlington does not have 00 D2 bracket for fall. the da1 and d1a are equal groups and top 5 from each group will compete in D1 for spring. chivas are probably a competitive D3 and maybe D2 but wanted to step up and find out EXACTLY how they stack up against the best.

Just looking at its game history on gotsoccer, the Kernow Storm team has done very well after May, while before it was a total disaster! They even defeated number one FC Dallas Youth East team. They must have added several talented players!

Is that the same Midland United Chivas team that was 5th in PPL D1 last year? I see they are playing in APL this year. Why do they have such a strong tournament record (9-1-3 in GotSoccer) but aren't tearing it up in league play? Too much travel? The back to back games over league weekends? Guest players?soccerdadrandy wrote:Midland Chivas with first surprise today upsetting FC Dallas Youth East and win second game beating houstonians 2-0....

Re: 00 Plano Labor Day.
guest players were helping prior to July tryouts. my son and 5 other good boys from the Midessa club join forces so we are a totally diiferent team. chivas did come in 5th in plano and we are playing arlington this year but it is not D2 as it appears. arlington will take top 5 from DA1 and top 5 from D1A and slug it out in spring D1 division. my experience has been in our age group that arlington and plano are very equal leagues. we beat the classic D1 teams this weekend with some good fortune and a ton of hustle. our talent is raw but we did surprise 3 good teams. i suspect they were missing some talent or Classic D1 is not the league I assumed it was....S0cc3rD@d wrote:Is that the same Midland United Chivas team that was 5th in PPL D1 last year? Re: 00 Plano Labor Day.
Solar Chelsea played a great game against the TN team. At the end of the first half the score was 4-2 in favor of the Lobos. In the second half, Solar scored twice (one goal one minute before the end!) and forced the Lobos to over-time. The Lobos scored first, the Solar scored again: final score 5-5! Eventually the Lobos won at PK. Very intense, tough game.

Who's this kernow Club. My eldest boys just played two of "kernows"95s in the Arlington tournament. Pretty decent possession team, had chances unlucky infront of goal though. And my youngest boy played their 00 boys in the quarters. They looked sloppy but did prove title contenders. Congrats to practically an unknown team. Keep it up.

Re: 00 Plano Labor Day.
It's true, the starting of the tournament did not look very bright for the Texans. But remember, the DT team has a lot of new players who are now starting to glue together. The LP team played well, but one of our player was red carded in the first half, so we had to play 10 against 11. The call was very dubious, an elbow hit in the face that was totally involuntary as our player was getting ready to kick the ball and the LP player arrived from the back. Anyway, it is what it is, none of the parents got wild for that bad call and the team kept playing and tried to do their best!Lamps8 wrote:Noting texans red only loss was to d1 newcomer LP Kuyt. Re: 00 Plano Labor Day.
Regarding the 00's, I would categorize them as improved instead of unknown. They have been around for a few years but have really turned things around since the end of last season. I caught a few minutes of one of their games this weekend and it looks like they have upgraded their roster with a few new players. I think D3 will be pretty darn competitive this year.Barca16238 wrote:Who's this kernow Club. My eldest boys just played two of "kernows"95s in the Arlington tournament.
