"Just look at some of the out of state teams and foreign teams. In the 96 group two years ago Dubai got rolled badly every game. They did not even belong to a league over there. Great bunch of kids but no competitive fire at all. " Ohh well since others are doing it then lets all jump on board and do the same thing. The youth soccer system here is much more organized than in other countries. So lets take advantage of the system and invite the teams that have the BEST chance of competing and representing OUR soccer (be it Texans looong ball or FC Dallas short passing or something in between).

I am truly concerned about the DC. How will it ever survive without the Texans?affraid This plus moving games into Dallas. Last year was the last year for the DC but this year will be the last last year of the DC:(

So, the Dallas Cup qualifiers from this age group are FCDP (obvious) and Solar Chelsea, correct? Even though Solar has another game, I am thinking they still have the second spot locked up by virtue of their head to head win vs FCDY (who also have 19 points).

Are you saying this is the last year for Dallas Cup? If so, that's a shame.

Classic League does not follow the "normal" tie breaker procedures.  Head-to-head is not part of the equation.  According to the Classic League Rules:

Section VI.
E. End of Season/Year Tie Breakers/Placement.
If two (2) or more teams are tied in the number of points, the tie will be broken as follows:
1. Overall team goal differential.
2. Total goals scored.
3. Board decision.

Currently, FC Dallas Youth (Che) and Solar (Martinez) are tied for 2nd place. I know it is rather unlikely, but if Solar doesn't take care of business on Wednesday night, the tie breaker policy would come into play.

Looks like there is still hope for FCDY, but pretty slim.

According to Bobby Rhine DC qualification page--any Dallas Metro teams that win their group will qualify for DC if they will provide volunteer hours or provide home stay.

Is this true for Texans Fall Festival as well?

4. If a Dallas Metro team is a group winner they will be required to provide team accommodation for the Dallas Cup Homestay program or volunteer hours if requested by the Dallas Cup office.

Never mind-- group winner means age group and not bracket group.

Does not apply in this age group.  Both tournaments use the exact same language to qualify for the younger groups.
