Thoughts?

This weekend tournament will help sort this out. But Eligio beat Solar Dudley last night. Also all these teams are from Primetime while the best 09's at PIT+ play up in 08's - PIT needs more competitive 09 bracket. Fever and Solar Griffths have lost lot of good players to various clubs mostly to Allegiance with girffths signing up for silver level in this weekends tourny so I think they are in rebuilding mode (just my guess).... so my list as is but somehow i dont think i am giving DT palmesque enough credit but they had a rough season in Gold

10. FCD Depew - they keep adding good kids so this weekend will be the test

Ok well now we know and have a clear picture with DT Eligio slicing through the field and winning the tournament. I would not have bet on it especially shutting out Allegiance and DTS but thats why i dont live in Vegas. New Ranking

I cant rank DT Eligio not after he took 2 0-3 losses for having questionable players at his last tournament. Wonder if they had a roster check at this tournament.

Are you talking about back in November when it was a brand new team and Eligio did play players not on the roster because he didn't have all the correct paperwork done. The funny thing is the two players who weren't on the roster weren't even the ones questioned. A coach on another team thought a couple of players were 08's because they had been playing up on Eligio's 08 team.

All the players that played on our team this weekend have either played the whole season on the team in the Primetime league, which means you are saying Primetime doesn't do their job, or any guest players played on other 09 teams. I don't know if we are the number 1 team in Dallas but I do know my son and his teammates played 5 very tough teams this weekend and worked hard to come up with the championship.

This is simply my ranking. Primetime definitely did do their job last Nov, I was there.

I got to back jkirk up on this. My son was the only guest player on Roy's team this weekend. I was on one of those 2 teams that soccerad100 mentioned so that was first thing Roy and I discussed. I also talked to the parents who were great and apologetic and jkirk is right they hadn't filled out all the paperwork by mistake but they were all 09s. I can say the Eligio's team was on point this weekend going 5 and 0 with 3 shutouts against the top teams and beat Solar Dudley 2 weekends ago. There was roster checks this weekend. Say what you want soccerdad100, but the team we played with was legit and scary good

Also Coterminous I would move Fever up to #6 unless you know something I don't.

All I'm saying is "proper paper work" sounds like another way of saying I was hoping not to get caught.

I agree. Coach should have had a birth Certificate or player card to prove other wise.

My ranking is not based on results but style of play. Everyone sells you possession style soccer but from what I've seen this is how I would rank them. I also been to some of these practices and thats why I would rank depew so high.

It has not even been 24 hours and we cannot let Eligio and the kids enjoy their victory. They beat 5 very good, tough teams, 4 of which were ranked in the top 10 lists being generated above. They beat the Dudley team in a league game one week prior. Instead of focusing on a tournament that happened in Fall 2016, let's focus on what is happening in Spring 2017. The boys earned that championship. Period.

I'm gonna agree with Lilsmooth. These complaints sound like sour grapes to me. Until Eligio can be stopped next tournament they rule the roost from a standpoint of pure objectivity. I get the style comment but its too subjective. There is no Miss Congeniality award in tournaments.

But its a positive sign this 09 forum finally woke and got a good argument going

Oh and Ehlodog - Fever could very well be #6 they just haven't played any 09s other than Allegiance in awhile

As are these rankings but let's just take it for what it is. Final note, eligio won a good tournament fair and square but the way they played this tournament would suggest they did work in their spring league

Eligio played well in the tourney, and deserve the credit.

Fever lost a few of their strongest players. Unless they add a few, they will have issues witht the stronger teams.

Ok well I just looked at the tournament brackets for this weekend. Doesn't look like anything will change the rankings (on a side note we need FBR09 from the girls forum to get a FBR for the boys). Most of the big boys are off or playing 4v4.

Looks like there needs to be a change in the rankings. KSA Brazil Kamali won the U8 League Challenge Cup. KSA Brazil beat Allegiance 2-1 in the final.

They are definitely a good team. We beat them 5-1 on Saturday, but their defense, speed, and size made it difficult for us on Sunday afternoon. They definitely out played us.

I see that they also beat Texans south. I know they were missing five of their starters but still impressive. Definitely a team to watch.

Need to give Brazil credit but not rank them over Allegiance because of one game. They did get beat 5-1 and didnt have much competition in this tournament. Ill say put them at #10

I have a feeling we wont be seeing DT Eligio in tournaments any time soon. I heard apart from the obvious on the field with uniforms he didnt have proper paper work for those guest players and had 16 on roster of (14max) with out jersey numbers associated to player names. With this and what happen in Nov. I have to drop DT Eligio out of my personal Top 5.

Soccerdad100 what are you talking about? My BB guest played on the Eligio for the past tournament and none of that happened. Eligio had all my paperwork the week before. One kid (who i know is a regular forgot his white jersey for 1 game and had to wear another players) but other than that nothing you said is even remotely true. You really need to let last fall go man. I was on one of the other teams last fall and I am telling you i would not have let my BB play with Eligio is that situation was not properly addressed and it was. As far as your personal top 10 fine man whatever, but even the other posters who were there say they deserved the championship. If you want to start a # for Notmynumberoneteam got for it I'm sure there is room right next to the #notmypresident peeps
