New Team - U2/U3 age group
New team forming in Dallas with U2/U3 age group. Currently seeking "premier" level beginners as we're planning to play in premier leagues only. We have an ex EPL coach that is extremely dedicated to soccer development. Team will have no coaching fee's, we will share league/field costs evenly.

Very funny but this is no laughing manner. We are setting up to create a premier U2/U3 team that will compete in the very top level soccer leagues.

Do you take talented U1's that are able to play up and compete?
or do you want to stay age pure?

Re: New Team - U2/U3 age group
My U2 was burned out pretty badly so we gave him the Winter off. I'm definitely looking to get him back into 4-5 practices a week now though. Has there been any talk about a residency program?

What league will you be playing in?
I heard that PSA U4 is pretty competitive. Not sure if they have an Academy division at U4 though. Maybe you can play up if the kids are good and you have a good coach.

No PSA does not have a U4 academy league however, we're getting ready to setup a U2/U3 invitational league. Coach is currently working with local leagues to determine the best opportunity and fit.

Sadly I thought this was intended to be a fine attempt at humor.

Currently looking at options, the primary area's of focus are central to west Dallas. The idea is to build a "elite" premier team first and then decide on joining or building a new club.

Wow you really are serious!
Do you not think you are getting just a tiny bit carried away grooming 2 & 3 year olds for greatness in 20 years time?

Can you define burnout? I believe its only a state of mind and something that "parents" allow, similar to an excuse. Our practices are fun, we teach the game through SSG's, the kids don't even know they are learning.

I assume this is just another tongue in cheek thread, with a touch of condescension aimed toward the u-little academy parents and kids.

Re: New Team - U2/U3 age group
To me burnout is when the enjoyment goes out of something and it becomes a chore. There can be multiple causes. Some that come to mind are not enough mental breaks, lack of variety, team pressure, parental pressure, narrow focus, too much time spent practicing, too many years of too much intensity, plateaus in performance....I could go on.....
There are also plenty of non burnout reasons to stop playing. Desire to pursue other sports or hobbies, academic balance, changing priorities and interests, realizing that Barcelona never will come calling....etc.
It is great that you are keeping it fun now but are you going to manage to keep it fun for the next 10-15 years? Super teams tend to come with super pressures.....
I really hope you are pulling our leg here.....
