I agree. Aztecas and TX Toros are by far the best 2 teams. I have no doubt they will qualify on the first weekend. They are both pretty good and they both should be able to advance to D2 next year. Best wishes for both of them

I agree with your overall picks, but I think Brackets C and E are up for grabs. FWFC Red drew the short straw having FC Bachman Lake in their bracket, but FWFC is definitely capable of beating Bachman. Irving Mustangs should win Bracket E, but I could see any of the other 3 teams (Ayses Black or Gold or ETU) challenging for the top.

Bachman should be hungry, like Olympians they probably should have made it last year. FWFC is solid, just my prediction. E IMO is the most difficult bracket to pick & I haven't seen Irving but they appear strong. Ayses Gold seems stronger now than at the end of spring classic and 6 months ago I would have picked Ayses Black to win the bracket but they had a very rough spring in PPL. ETU is effective over the top with speed....nice bracket!

what doesn't make any sense to me is the seeding is straight down the line till you get Samba. They finished higher than Ayes but got bumped from their "correct' bracket to the last one?? If there is a format, it should be laid out that way every time??

Besides seeding, it looks like there was some thought behind placement of teams from the same club in the same bracket. A & D have 2 FCD teams each and E has the two Ayses teams (like last year).

I suppose if you're not with these clubs it seems like a just approach.

My picks for the 1st weekend bracket winners were spot-on. Congratulations to Aztecs, Texas Toros, FCD South Red, Bachman Lake, Irving Mustangs and Olympians!

This weekend is 2 brackets of 3 (the 2nd place teams) & they each play the other 2 teams in their bracket. I think FWFC Red & Samba will step up and retain their D3 spots, however East Texas could pull off an upset.
