FCBESCOLA FLORIDA
Has anyone heard of the official Barcelona school opening up next month in FL? It provides 2 training sessions per week and one game on the weekend. They take the best 12 kids to the tournament in Spain each year. Cost is $2,250. I am a big fan of Barca and its style of play but I am not sure about this. Any thoughts?

Check this thread from the Florida forum about the FCBESCOLA program.

Re: FCBESCOLA FLORIDA
I read some of that thread. It sounded like people were bashing it calling it a rec program or a money maker etc... A parent posted that they were relocating to join the school. They got hammered...lol. How would this school change the NTX soccer scene if they opened one here?

I am sure lots of people would sign up with the hope of their kid one day playing at Barcelona. Don't know if it would make any difference at all in level of kids coming out of NTX.

Practice 2 times a week and a game on weekends? This is what we get here in Texas for about the same amount of money and you do not have to move to Florida where you have to pay state tax!

Re: FCBESCOLA FLORIDA
Practicing twice a week at FC BESCOLA is a money maker and a feel good for kids and parents who want to wear a kit and "Dream" about playing for Barca, but if you are from NTX you would be better off going to the Dallas Texans after school program which is 4 or 5 days a week at the Ross Stewart Complex (Great Training Facility) and has good coaches.
Full time academy training like La Masia can be found at the Andromeda Residency Program (ARP), FC Dallas Academy or the City Futsal Academy (FDSP) and will require you get out of school by 12:30 every day or move to Frisco ISD in the case of FC Dallas. These and other Full time programs are the gold standard , but require an extreme amount of commitment by the parent/player combo.
