Re: Plano Labor day
ok so far as far as the NTX 99 teams go in the Gold division
bracket 1
texas lightning black( D3 ntx team) is out regardless of their final bracket game
bracket 2
Andromeda PA,DTS,and FCD lopez all still have a chance just pending on their finals games results
bracket 3
barcelona is out and Liverpool still has a chance just depending
bracket 4
FCD Gold still have a chance just depending on the final bracket games
bracket 5
Ayses Gold still have a chance pending the final bracket games
Silver A
bracket 1
NTFC black is into the quarter finals regardless of their last bracket game and I want to add the not only beat but shutout the #4 ranked Oklahoma team
DIS(D1) looks like they will win their bracket but im wondering why a D1 team is even in the silver bracket?
bracket 2
Andromeda(D2) and Solar Crawford(D3) are both on to the quarters
DT north(PPL) out
bracket 3
FCD Blue(D2) on to the quarters
Liverpool heighway out
bracket 4
Mexico FC(PPL) and DTRS(D2) both still have chances to move on

Re: Plano Labor day
We watched DIS is falling apart. Playing kids I've never seen before. Not in their favor, they played different kids against NTFC yesterday and played them much better.

Re: Plano Labor day
not sure about who or what your saying about DIS but im told by a NTFC black parent that they were resting players against DIS in their bracket game seeing that they knew they were already into the knockout round so great strategy on their coaches part because NTFC got the win when it mattered and then went on to win the championship 2-0!!!! congrats to NTFC black for not only winning the championship but beating the #4 ranked okie team, the # 3 ranked Tennesse team, the #11 ranked NTX and classic league D1 team, then the #4 ranked nebraska team!!!!! remember people NTFC black is a first year D3 classic league team!Soccerdad1994 wrote:We watched DIS is falling apart. Re: Plano Labor day
Yes, glad they came out on top just saying DIS does not look like the same team even from the first time they played them in the tournament. They had a better line up Sunday. We ended watching both games because of the way our schedule fell. My bb used to play with several of the DIS players. Coach just doesn't utilize his players well. Didn't when we played for him either.

Re: Plano Labor day
that team lost their top scorer and best player this season and will struggle without him scoring all the goals for them, now they do have many talented players but all I can say about their style is physical and they like too dribble which translates to losses against the solid soccer teamsSoccerdad1994 wrote:Yes, glad they came out on top just saying DIS does not look like the same team even from the first time they played them in the tournament. Re: Plano Labor day
Word on the Street (WOTS) is that this NTFC BLACK had several guest players in the tourney that helped them win versus those much higher ranked teams.
The WOTS is just my complete BS, as I am both shocked and impressed with their nice run through Classic Challenge tourney and great run in the Plano Labor Day against some hgh quality teams.
Doesn't add up though...it's not a big, name brand club...Passos is not the coach...how can this be???

Re: Plano Labor day
WTH is going on with these d1 teams losing to low level teams? have they just lost all their main talent and left only with parents who can pay those huge fees or they just bad coaching as usual, my question would be how many of these lower teams now have former d1 players making a difference? in the recent month did the two d3 teams that beat d1 teams have any former d1 players?

Re: Plano Labor day
firstly , in a a game of football anything can happen . Just look at professional soccer. On paper Real Madrid should never hardly lose. But they do. Sometimes teams have a bad day.
I think NTFC team has always had potential , alot of the players were small and undersized 3 years ago. they are starting to grow and fill out which narrows the cap physically with D1 teams.
The starting 11 for NTFC featured 9 players that have been with the team for at least three seasons. I think it shows what can happen when parents stay patient and dont jump ship at any sign of hard times.
As for DIS, I have never played them before , so I can only comment on my recent experiences. The coach was a really nice guy and very respectful. Their players also conducted themselves in a good way throughout the game and afterwards.
