NORTH TEXAS PLAYERS TRAVELLING TO GERMANY

As a result of the relationship between AYSES Soccer Club and SFC Kaiserslautern, the development academy for FC Kaiserslautern and TSG Hoffenheim, seventeen players that attended the SFC Kaiserslautern/TSG Hoffenheim Camp hosted by AYSES Soccer Club will be travelling to Germany for a ten day visit starting June 4, 2015.  The tour will take them to Kaiserslautern and Hoffenheim where they will get the opportunity to train with academy clubs of SFC Kaiserslautern and TSG Hoffenheim.  These are some of the best academy clubs in Germany.   Not only will the players learn soccer with the best of them, they will also have the opportunity to visit interesting places.

The players will only be required to pay for their way in Germany and carry a few dollars to cover their discretionary expenses.  Food and accommodation will be provided at no cost.  This is indeed a wonderful opportunity for the players.

Fifteen players from Germany will be visiting US to attend the June 22 to attend the SFC Kaiserslautern Camp at Fairview Soccer Park (FSP) in McKinney, Texas .  The camp will be hosted by AYSES Soccer Club and will be used to select players to travel to Germany for the next trip.  The camp will be June 22 through 25, 2015.

I am not sure why the person paid 4k. Somebody found an airline ticket for about $1,300 and presented to the group. If the person is travelling with the player, then that is a different matter all together. This deal is in reference to the player ONLY.

its still a great experience for these boys, regardless of airfare expense plus spending money.  you just had a typo in you statement. you said pay their way "in" Germany. I'm sure you meant to say pay way to and from Germany. great for those select few

Spending money of 1400 bucks. That's almost a down payment for a bmw.

My son is going on this trip. I found a round trip airfare for $1,177. My sister will escort him & 2 of his friends to Germany. The kids are very excited.

These are experiences that will last a lifetime and the kids will never forget this. Good for them to see how other countries and kids play. It is a different game as we witnessed in Spain last year and you realize quickly why it is called the "beautiful game". All the best kiddos

All I can tell you is that the cost of a player to travel is that of the airline ticket plus about $100 for extra activities.  Beyond that it is up to the parent.  It will obviously cost more if a parent travels along.  The $2600 airline ticket may be for two people (parent included).  That would also explain the $1400 expense.  Other than that, I do not see why anybody would want to pay more for an airline ticket when they have a less expensive option.  Unless they are like this family https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qMnHHyjL_eQ
