this article comes from top-drawer soccer and they do mention the record. i don't believe us soccer cares so much as long as they are giving quality training. it appears this was purely SA Scorpions financial decision

This is interesting on a couple of fronts.
The best player in their club transferred to FC Dallas and this is due to the club's push to make it a funded club which resulted in instability.
Isn't one of the FCD players going to Berlin a recent transfer from a South Texas club (Dynamos)? And that would make half of the Berlin group, first year transfers as one of the others is a Dallas Texans transfer. And I believe Solar had a player transfer to FCD U16s. So do transfers represent rats fleeing a sinking ship as the writer implies in the article?
Klinsi wants to build an brand of soccer that incorporates core USA values, so I am glad to see that the model for DA is closer to vulture capitalism rather than venture capitalism.
The other message from the story is that if DA teams are consistently at the bottom of the table, they will get ejected from the DA train. Hello Andromeda! Yet they were completely funded for this year.

ear bucket. i think the best always funneling (being recruited and/or"vulgarism") to the more financial stable clubs is good for soccer. thank god classic elite/SA Scorpions had a try at academy. its appears that fcd best striker was a product of that. doubtful that bb would have moved to dallas or houston to join mL academy. to your point on andromeda; proof that these are two very different reason for temporary contraction in frontier division of use academy

The best players move to play with the best players and coaches. Kids at the FC Dallas level don't care where they live. They just want to play with the best. It is a different mentality. There is no "stealing" involved.

the player from scorpions was obviously at or above "FCD level" long before he chose to take his talents there

Was that when he was at the Texans? He is at the FC Dallas level since he is on the team. Don't really understand that comment.

i didn't realize he was with the texans. you said "kids at FCD level" and was making a snarky comment that FCD didn't get him to "that level" he may or may not have left to fcd if he still had a USSF Academy option in San Antonio. but nothing wrong that he chose to come. they ALL don't come lol
