Opinions about top 04 teams practicing in NE Tarrant County
Wondering about opinions on who are the top 04 (solid talent, desirable coach) teams in the Keller/Grapevine/Southlake/Colleyville area.
It seems the change to calendar year divisions may upset the apple cart so to speak. So if you also happen to have some idea about what the team's plans are for the 2016-17 season in regards to existing rosters, playing some boys up a year, folding in some boys that used to be on an 03 team, etc., I'd appreciate hearing that as well.
Thanks

Re: Opinions about top 04 teams practicing in NE Tarrant County
I won't pretend to know the 04 teams real well. I just know there aren't many of them at all playing at a high level in this area, as BB's current team has some 03 BY players who would probably be pretty good playing for a current 04 team next year.
So in your area: Fever is D2 CL. LP is D2 CL, maybe getting promoted. As far as I know that is it for 04 teams in CL in this area. Have heard mixed things about Fever. Don't know anything about LP other than that they train at BlueSky. Those teams will have 03BY CL byes, so I'm sure their plans involving fielding an 03BY team. And would have tryouts and take older 03 BY kids. I don't know the PPL/APL teams at all.
I would think Evolution could scrap together an 03 BY team that could win an 03 BY challenge spot (possibly) next Fall. Maybe not. Mostly there are not many higher level teams of any sort over in NE Tarrant County. So I would not expect a ton of feedback. Write the boy's DOC at Solar, Texans, FCD, LP and ask them what their 03BY plans are for this area next year. Maybe?
If anybody knows of any Jan-July 02 b-days looking for a home in this same area, I know of a team that should have an 02 CL D1 bye next year.

Solar Red 04 DeLeon (formerly Oglesby) used to practice in Keller, maybe still do. They are a top team nationwide.

I'm fairly sure that, with the coaching change, SR now practices east of DFW at various locations. Maybe farmers branch or carrolton.

Yes, Solar Red 04 practices in Plano and Farmer's Branch/Carrolton.
You may also check on GSSC or Colleyville Evolution in the area you are talking about.

GSSC does not have any 04 boys, or much of anything else for that matter....

Fever has great club and focused on kids development as a whole not just on field. the 04B classic D2 team is receiving some of the 05/ 04Age pure Classic D1 boys in June. So it should be Strong team or Teams The Club is really on the rise and players are visiting always. I have two boys with club after checking out others and we are very happy.

The older team is receiving some of the younger kids in June? I think that works the other way around.

The GSSC 05 team is 1/2 04/05. Team has solid foundation and great coach Ryan Ross. Also has great acces to fields in Southlake/grapevine. Worth looking at if you don't want to drive all over Dfw to practice
