99 Boys - 2016/2017

Been trying to find answer on board and Classic website about next year. My boy(born 99) team is 2000 this year and next year they will have to move to 99's. Is there an answer yet on what classic plan is for this age group. Are they going to create U18 for this age group? Our coach sent email planning for next year and said we will play Fall only, has anybody else heard this. If this is true the 2000 of this year will basically lose year of soccer, playing only fall for 2 years.

Essentially the Fall 99s and any 00s playing up will only lose a half year, since senior year everyone only plays a half year. Considering that situation, it would be dumb for an 00 to play up and lose a half year, junior year.

Good question for classic--do they expect early born 99s to rush to the 99 teams? is that the logic in playing only a half season?

I was afraid of this, so now my son(99) will play Fall only his junior and senior year.

It will be interesting to see how 99 teams play out next year. Like earbucket said why would 00 play on 99 teams and lose half year soccer. Will some 99 parents say why pay full price soccer for 2 yrs of fall only soccer.
