List of Age Pure 04 Teams for 2016/2017 Season

I was wanting to attempt to get a list together of North Texas select teams that will be Age Pure 04 for the 2016/2017 soccer year, and put the list all on one "running" combined post.

If anyone knows of a team that will most likely be an 04 team for the upcoming season, please post it. I'm hoping this will help teams find players and help players find a team. At minimum, please include the coach's name, contact email, and city/location if possible. Feel free to include any other information such as practice times, days, locations, etc.

I'll start the list with teams that are playing in upcoming tournaments as 04 teams and other teams I found on other posts from this message board.

Additional teams and information will be placed on this list in new posts below as new teams are added within this thread by others, or as new information is forwarded to me via private message.

Of course, this list will not be 100% accurate.

"Pool training" for undecided kids or those trying to get on premier team.

Thread fail? Not sure what you mean, but I'll be updating this thread all the way up until the Classic Challenge Games Tournament. It is going to be very interesting to see which current 04 teams return and which 05 teams move up to 04 for this coming season.

As I sit here and think about it, I realize that I'm not sure how Classic is going to handle which teams get byes. Will the 04s that stay 04s keep their byes and then the 05s that move up to 04s get byes as appropriated by their clubs to fill the empty slots for the 04 teams that moved up to 03? I think I'll ask the question in a separate topic.

The following is how the 04 Classic divisions would have looked for the 2016/2017 season if not for the "Age Pure" mandate. I wonder how many of these teams will be back as an 04 team? What happens to the byes that are left open if some of these teams move up to 03/U14? I've heard that the club of the team with a bye that leaves the age group, determines which of their 04 teams "inherit" the byes, but have not found anything that substantiates this.

Do you mean instead of an '03 team? For clubs with multiple teams who actually operate as true "clubs", I suspect none. They will simply move their older '05's up (Fall '04's) and give their younger '04's (Spring 04's) the option of dropping down. They will use whatever '05 BYE they have and call the team AP '04's. A different question might be " which of these teams can not provide that AP "option" to their Spring '04's either because they do not have an '05 team below them, or their club does not really operate like a club?"

Most of the teams on your list I suspect will just change their names to "03 Boys", even if their Spring 04's stay with them and they remain essentially the same team.

Looking at the CURRENT '04 teams in Classic is a waste of time because; and this has been covered multiple times in multiple age forums; they will all be a year older next year. 04's in Classic will be 03's; 03's will be 02's, etc.

It isn't that confusing.

Is there a chance that some random team is going to keep their spot in Classic and kick all the fall 03 players off and actually have an AP 04 team playing in Classic against AP 03's? Sure, there is a chance and Lloyd and Harry are going to be the coaches.

If you have a chance, you should take your son to one of Che's practices. He expects a lot from his kids, but he's professional and provides a ton of practice opportunities. Look through the results over the years, his teams are usually among the top or most improved depending on the roster.

Brilliant!!! That way the team could still play tournaments as U13 next year instead of U14!

True. The byes ADVANCE. 05/U11 byes advance to AP04/U13, and 04/U12 byes advance up to AP03/U14, etc. Most of the teams that have Classic byes will simply return at the next age level in some form. The teams that do not have byes will be more likely to return at their previous age level.

It would be far more accurate for a possible list of AP04 teams by placing the final 05 Classic standings on here probably.

^^ He is spinning up a new team. He has several 04's from last year that are AP. Plus additions. .
