Fall/Spring 2017/18 Classic League

Thoughts/predictions a week after signing absorbing the moves after signing day? My initial thoughts are D1 got stronger with the academy additions to the league - will be interesting to see how much of an impact it will make...

Does anyone know which teams signed Academy players & how many? Just curious. This could definitely shake things up just like age pure did this past season. Speaking of the season, hard to believe next season is @ 5-6 weeks again.

I find that hard to believe - Stricker has shown/proven to be as good as any team in the country - and they appear to have gotten better.

Dallas Texans 01 Red, Taleb has 10 kids from DT academy.

Dallas Texans 01 Red, Taleb has 10 kids from DT academy.

So, isn't Dallas Texans 01 Red, Taleb the team that fought and clawed and appealed to Classic League this past season to get into D1? If so, they did all of this and now most of the kids aren't on the team anyway if they were replaced by academy kids.

I'll take Castro for the undefeated season. With all the the 02 DA players playing in Classic D1. Should be Castro way to prove DA players are that elite over D1

Excuse my "newbie-ness" but what's the reason so many Academy kids are playing Classic this coming year?

DA is 02/01 together for upcoming year. So there may only be 10 or so total full time DA spots for 02 kids amongst all 3 clubs. Rest of last years 02 DA kids go back to CL

Predictions for this weekend?

Ill take:

Stricker 7 FCDG 0 - not a lucky draw for FCDG first game

FCDP 3 Ayses 1 -Ayses will surprise this season - but not this early

DTS 5 Cruz Azul 0 - just too big - not a good matchup for CA

LP Rush 2 ODY 1 - surprise upset - just a gut feeling

Castro 2 Sawyer 0 - Sawyer will hang around in this one - they have a nice defense
