99 10/23-10/24 Predictions & Scores - D1, D2, or D3

Agreed TXball, in terms of possession, it was a lopsided game. To be fair, the ref did equal the call and gave DTX the point back on a converted free kick. That said, only one earmed goal was scored by either team: A midfielder finished a textbook ground ball cross from the right winger.


DTX proved last year they are the best team in NTX in terms of possession, shape and ball movement. That streak continues. Teams won't get through their defense consistently by sending one or two players down the middle. You have to open up the attack and move the ball to get a shot. That's what DTS did at the Friendlies, but failed this match. Great individual efforts by both teams. Lots of talent on the field today.

no offense just thought the "matchup" was way in their favor? learning a new style of play especially for that team is difficult but good job and I did predict the draw!

That's a very harsh statement, Arsie. DTS not in the same league as DTX? Both are at the top of D1, so, yes, they are in the same league. Both have exceptional strengths and glaringly obvious deficiencies, just like everyone else.

So who is the most talented team player for player then? And what is considered talent? and have you ever played or coached so that we can consider if you are a worthy judge or if your judgement is only a homer call?

OS is a lover of kick-ball and any definition of talent includes "*= skills not required"

Just kick the ball as far as you can and everybody run after it as fast as you can.

ok i'll give you MY opinion for what its worth.....Andro Red,DTS and SR all have equal amount if not more player for player they are just not like I said "organized" or " disciplined"
now unlike most on this board i played in my youth off and on until HS and then later on as an adult in my 30's to show my kids "old dad" still has it but indoor showed me I don't lol but I will be the first to tell I was nowhere near the Talent of ALL of our youth in Classic league today at this age but years and years of love for the game then coaching later on lets you see and learn alot more about the game, trying to evolve from player to coach was tough but trying to figure like most of us on here why the rest of the world is so much better then us has got me doing research on what the heck is the difference??? enough of my babble already i'm sure "gochilla/what?" will have to bust my balls for this but oh well it's all good lol! like I said WE all have our OWN opinions and thats that!

are you smoking diesel? your never going to see my BB play that style? but in my opinion just 3 teams move the ball well and then there is a few teams who move it and then attack and then the rest just kick it and run for glory! but hey my screen name doesn't show the style that I like?lol!

Arsenal Fan and TXLongBall, Before you think your Texan team is the world champions and greatest of great, you need a reality check. I'm going to guess that your team will be around another, hmmmmmm, 6 months? Evidence is in the movement from south to north. The owner of the club has them practicing together now. Go figure. Fancy new uniforms and locker rooms. Enjoy your boasting and arrogance now because about 7 (plus/minus) of you will be looking for a new team. The formula for national championships and Dallas Cup wins is the mixture of boys from the north and south. FC Dallas Juniors do it. Free of charge. Texans COE is going to it in order to compete. Andromeda and Solar will join in. Fact, Dallas Cup is around the corner. The movement this u11 season is nothing to what will happen at the end of the u12 season. Texans are good. I'll change that to VERY good. Unfortunately, they will have to upgrade in order to compete as you exprienced from your loss in Las Vegas. How many more games left Mr. Red Boots? 11? Let's wait and see.

Now that will be interesting, considering a lot of the DTS parents can't stand some of the arrogant (not all of them are that way) DT parents. Should be a fun sideline with plenty of division and drama!

Not a DTX 99 parent. Many of us who stayed and watched the game were commenting on how the DTS parents and players were strutting around before the game.
