97B D3 Predictions Oct 30 - Nov 1

The weather outlook is good. Should be chilly for the early games and maybe the later ones on Mon. Good luck to all teams!

10/30:
Strikers 0 - ALSC 1 (ALSC is a very strong team but has had a tough time scoring consistently. If Strikers defense can hold and the ball bounces right, this one could go the other way.)
Andro Navy 0 - Barcelona 2
FCDS 1 - McKU 3
Monterrey 2 - Andro 0 (Andro has the capability to make this one a game. Could be a good one.)

10/31:
ALSC 3 - FCDS 0
Strikers 2 - CDI 2 (Game of the week. Strikers are a better team than their record shows and I think these two will match up well.)

11/1:
McKU 0 - Monterrey 4
Barcelona 3 - FCDS 1
CDI 3 - Andro Navy 0

Monterrey 2- Andro 0 (Monterrey plays very direct, with focus on left outside midfield. Beating teams on speed, not technique and skill. Play is predictable. Defense is slow, if you get behind you can take advantage. Eventually I believe this will catch up to them.)

10/31: ALSC 3- FCDS 0 (If Lightning can score, this game could get out of control score wise)
Strikers 1- CDI 1 (Definatly should be best game of weekend)

11/1: McKU 0- Monterrey 3
Barcelona 4- FCDS 0 (I think Barcelona is underated. Fast, physical team with size and decent ball movement.)
CDI 2 - Andro Navy 0

Why are you named ASG 97B when there is not a D3 ASG team? Just curious.

Eagle, I never stated anywhere that my son's team played Div III. I do however have a nephew that plays on the Dallas Texans Div III team, therefore I see alot of Div III games. I'm also very familiar with several of the clubs and coaches in this division.

Nice to have you weigh in ASG 97B. I think we need more discussion in this forum. Keep it comin!

Unfortunately, I wasn't able to make the trip but from what I heard, same frustrations; creating tons of opportunities, but cannot find the back of the net.

Strikers 2 - CDI 1

What a weekend of soccer. Weather couldn't have been better.

ALSC 1- Strikers 0 (Score doesn't reflect game. Strikers Defense held strong but no offense. Opportunity after opportunity for Lightning, still can't score).

FCD Silver- 1 McKU-1 (Great battle for these two teams. Well done both of you).

Barcelona 3- Andromeda Dane 0 (Never thought this game would end. All Barcelona)

ALSC 6- FC Dallas Silver 0 (ALSC had two more pulled out of net for offsides,missed PK, and missed 3 1v1's. FC Dallas took a beating and it could have been 9-0 easily. Game was technically over 15 min in. Lightning scoring slump over? We'll have to wait and see.)

Strikers 2- CDI 1 (This game suprised me. Would have never guessed this outcome. Congratulations to Strikers for victory.)

Great job '97B teams. Once again, enjoyed weekend watching this age group.

Looks like CDI took all their anger out on Navy. Should have saved some for ALSC this weekend.
