FC Dallas White (2-2) vs. Blaze (2-2) - This is a game featuring teams going in opposite directions. FCD lost their first two games but rebounded with two wins, the latest a 5-0 domination of Texas Blitz. The Blaze won their first two games but then dropped consecutive matches to the Tigers and Boca Jrs by a combined score of 13-2. FCD should come out on top in this one 2-1.

HPSA Scots (2-3) vs. Texas Blitz (0-3-1) - The Scots come off a surprising 3-1 win over McKinney FC. The Blitz have not been able to put anything together so far this season, with a -14 goal differential (1 goal scored, 15 allowed), worst in Group 2. Look for the Scots to even their record with a 4-1 win.

Valencia (4-0) vs. McKinney FC (2-2-1) - Aside from their 1-0 win over FCD, Valencia has yet to be tested. McKinney should provide their stiffest challenge to date based on their level of talent. But McKinney has struggled mightily with inconsistent play lately, and barely won their lsat game against a winless Inferno team. The key to this game is which McKinney team shows up? The one that tied Aces 1-1 and beat Boca Jrs 4-1, or the team that just lost to HPSA Scots? Until McKinney puts together a streak of consistency, I have to believe Valencia will take the win 2-1.

Boca Jrs (3-1) vs. Celtic United (1-3) - Boca took care of the Blaze in their last game 6-1. The Celtics have limped to a -11 goal differential, with their only win coming against the Inferno. The Boca offense will prevail, although their defense will allow another goal, 5-1.

Aces (3-0-1) vs. FWU N White (1-3) - This game will probably have to be rescheduled (imagine that!) as it is scheduled for Wednesday evening, and the forecast calls for 2-3 inches of rain during the day. FWU was able to score twice against the Tigers in their last game, the first time a team has put more than one in the net against the Tigers all year. But FWU was not able to stop the Tiger's attack in the 5-2 loss. The Aces are still tied for best in PPL with just two goals allowed, and they are scoring 3-4 goals per game. That's a winning formula. If the rain holds off, we should see the Aces take care of business 3-1.

It was not pretty they showed up to play we did not. They are a really good team well coached, very good discipline. In all honesty the best we have faced so far.

Ouch... 97 PPL Predictions 10/20-10/21 Icon_eek

I can't wait to see the results of the Valencia - Tigers game this coming Saturday. That will be the "clash of the titans", and the winner should be the favorite to finish in first place in Group 2.

I hope this doesn't come as the shocker to everyone, but tonight's game was rained out.

Absolutely flooded in Keller tonight. I've never seen so much water in our back yard. I'm wondering if we'll even play Saturday.

It has already stopped raining in Plano (8am Thurs). Two full days of drying out ahead. My $ says we'll be playing on Saturday.

We had about 15 minutes of sun today, so not much drying, although the strong wind will help. I say we're 50-50 for Saturday.

Anyone have an update on Tuesday's game between FC Dallas White and Blaze, won by the Blaze 5-1? It's not too surprising that the Blaze won because these two teams had the same record going in, but I didn't envision such a lopsided score.
