97Boys D3 - First weekend

What a weekend. Texans South made a big move in the standings with 2 wins helped by 2 draws from Monterrey. Texans are 1 point shy of sharing the top spot with Monterrey. Just hope we can stay in the hunt. Sure will be fun.

Wild weekend it was -
FCD Silver (#9) gets beat 6-2 by the #6 team but beats the #7 team
Strikers (#7) loose the 9th place team and tie the top team (and Strikers had no subs that game)
Ando Navy scores thier forth goal all year to tie Andro Gentile 1-1 when Gentile beat them 4-1 in the fall.

In the battle for the D2 advancement spots, Amarillo has a chance with thier game against South on the last weekend. South has yet to play Monterrey so if they loose than and Amarillo wins, it could be a question of goal differencial. Look for both team to pound pretty hard the rest of the season to rack up goals.

The battle for the bottom two got tougher for Navy and its a very tight battle for Silver and McKinney. It's likely to be decided when they play each other the next to last weekend.

I think the middle 4 teams have little chance of movement out of D3 for this year.
