lol. I know a group of kids who should have plenty of energyIbystander wrote:Instead of running in this heat, I know a nice garden that could use some weeding. Hubby and BB need some help. We could use 32 hands!go99 wrote:Well if anyone knows where solar Crawford is running this morning please let me know. I had the opportunity to field marshall and snuck over a couple times to see the Gunner-Comet game and all seemed mellow on the sidelines. Was it a good game? Anybody dominate or was it simply a close game? It certainly was more entertaining around here with a little extra drama.
Anybody watch or care to comment on the Texan - Barcelona game? Surprised to see the low score with one against (perhaps a penalty?).
FCD Saaverdra seems to play well against better teams, and then play down to the level of lower teams, similar to what I've seen the Solar Crawford team do. Suarez can't be thrilled and there's no doubt Crawford is fuming, probably has the team running this morning.

Wow, I really feel for the kids. Playing your first D1 of the season without your coach, that's frightening. I know my kid would have been extremely nervous. As a parent watching from the sidelines, I always have the butterflies for the first 30 minutes of the game, so I cannot even imagine how the kiddos are feeling. Give them a break, everything will fall into place as the season goes along.go99 wrote:sorry, I don't make excuses you must be thinking of dynamo/texans. No excuses accepted when we do well and none when we lose. Completely dominated in that game. I will say give Bobby a break, he is with the older team at a tournament. The season was not supposed to start this early and when it did there was a conflict. Besides my bb played a great game and copletely kept a top opposing player from doing much at all. When the big kids get a card for fouling you, you know you are doing something right.Axxman wrote:Slow down, are you kidding? We will have excuses pouring in any minute now. Can't wait to hear from 99s, go99, and all the other 99s.CLUB31 wrote:I figure with the showing of both Solar teams and fcblue the 99 * forum will slow down a great deal. All three results are not suprising. It will be a long year for fcblue. From what I hear they don't even have a coach to show up for their game....Rhine who?

Agreed and about what you would expect for week one.... except for Solar Red. Almost half the teams win or lose and you get a few ties. Really we will not be able to predict anything until we get most of the way through the fall season and you can compare results across common opponents. Spring season is really when the fun starts!Axxman wrote:As far as I could tell, the weekend was pretty "un-eventful" and the boys just did their thing. Re: 99 Week One Classic League Game Results for D1
It is going to be a long tough year. The fact is there are 13-16 teams that can play and this 99 group is tough. Those that get thru and make it to D1 next year will have earned it! I am shocked that Solar Red lost like that and FCDallas(Suarez) was played to a tie. Also, a bit suprised that the Gunners tied Comets(blue). Maybe the first week back to school played a part. They are 10-11 year olds.

solar red was a big suprise.
FCD and solar 99 was not that big of suprise - both seem overrated
comets and gunners will always go back and forth
FWFC and chivas will always go back and forth
