Any predictions for the U-16 bracket?

Group A - AE 96b White
Group B - Club Classic West
Group C - toss-up as I don't know the teams in that bracket very well
Wild Card - United Strikers

AE 96b White v Club Classic West in the Finals.

Winner will be decided by which team best integrates their new players. Suspect that will be AE as they have less players to intergrate and retained substantially more of their squad from last season. I do know that CCW picked up some solid players including a forward, will be interesting to see how they fair. A good showing against AE would likely mean they will be contending for D2 honors this coming season.

I believe AE White 96B already won 1st or 2nd in D2 last year, will be in D1 this season.

I know AE will be playing against my son's team this year in D1. I was referring to CCW contending for top honors in D2 this year. Apologize if that wasn't clear.

I believe CCW lost a number of players from last year's squad, so it'll be interesting to see how they integrate together as a team with the new additions. Think this tournament will tell us a lot about their prospects for the upcoming year.

WOW!!!! your pushing it just a little.... just remember they (Irv Elite) are playing up a year, against some very great 96 teams.

American Eagles (formerly Tornados) D2 winners, team supposed to be intact from last year. Hard to see anyone in this field beating them.

I believe the top four teams to make the semi's are

AE
Club Classic
Irving Elite
NTS

After that its a toss up for the final. All four have the ability to go but weather and refereeing always seems to play some point in the decision.

I have no dog in this fight as my son plays for NTX Strkers 97 but teams in the tournament would be wise to watch out for Manchester United. This is a team of players from the Mesquite area. Most have played D1 or D2 with big named clubs but decided this year to make their own team. Very dangerous team

Ya know, I hadn't noticed it, but I think you might be right. That'll change their team substantially I suspect and has to take some speed off their front line.

Should really know where they stand this coming weekend as i suspect they'll get tested playing DT Red on Saturday.

Is Manchester United the same team that is playing in Arlington this year, or is that a different Manchester United?

It seems like there are a lot of Manchester United teams and a lot of Barcelona teams in the Metroplex, but not any called Bolton or Getafe. Why is that? Wink

Can't confirm but heard that he went to an academy team & was told he would be playing defender. Tried to go back to old AE team but the roster was already full. Don't know where it stands now. Again, this is only what I heard through grapevine.

If you look at the Got soccer roster you will see the roster is NOT full. So much for the grapevine.
