Where is everyone playing this season? Seems like some of the "powerhouse" teams are not playing SDL this season. From other forums ('02, '01), looks like several new leagues are forming. Good luck to all this season!

SDL1 is missing which teams? Odyssey, Solar Gold, FCD (Snell's teams)...I am sure I am missing a few more.

Not surprised to see teams leaving SDL...field conditions are poor and referees not much better.

I think this is just the beginning of a lot of drama in this age group. You've got all these rumors (some confirmed) floating around. Some teams invited to play in the "Snell friendly league" others not. Texans trying to play the "Nipper" card and combining DSC with DT03s. Mansfield and Odyssey combining forces. FCD Premier looking for players when they already have twenty '03b teams. Solar Castro now with two solid teams. Good times. Should make for an interesting season although in this age group you never know who is going to be on the roster when half the teams show up.

Odyssey: left SDL for reasons mentioned above, well that and just to try something different. Playing FCD Jr Development League or whatever its called ("White team") and Primetime ("Blue team").

Will be watching horizon for arrival of Mansfield team upgrades. Maybe I read that wrong, I got pretty confused by previous sentence with "Snell" and "friendly" in it.

Yeah can’t disagree with those reasons. Is that what they are calling the Snell league? FCD Jr Development league. Nicely played on FCD's part. We must all get used to the fact they will run NTX soccer shortly. Prepare to be assimilated.

I don't really know who is playing in the FCD league, or how anything went down. If it really was selective, I guess one of the insiders must have vouched to invite us to the party or something. After we leave an upper decker and grope the host's wife we may not get invited back.

In all seriousness, Snell seems reasonably agreeable (on this topic) and we're looking forward to some games in a nice setting on a flat pitch. Would be nice to play the Castro's and DTSs of the world, but the SDL competiton was kind of a mixed bag as well. Worst case its 8 games out of a year with 100 games in it.

Who's all playing in the Primetime Tournament this weekend? We're not in it, and it's practically in our backyard! Any teams out there need an extra player?

In the gold division Pool A is Solar Castro, Odyssey, Solar Red Bates, Liverpool Paisley
Pool B is Solar Gold, FCD Premier, Andromeda, FCD South

No Texans or DSC

FCDP was up 3, with maybe 8 minutes to go, and Odyssey came back 3 goals to force PK's. FCDP wasn't as sharp with their PK's and missed a couple. Tough loss.

Does anyone know how to tell which level each team is playing on the SDL schedule? I dont see a reference to the levels..only teams and game times.

Wow! Three goals in eight minutes? I'm very surprised...FCD moved the ball very well when I watched them against Castro. They're getting better all the time, can't wait to play them again.

Usually you can infer based on schedule, though in past they will send a list to each coach/contact prior to scheduling showing the levels and asking "is this where you want to be?". Absence of anything else would just refer to Odies list in this thread.

Nothing typical about that game to me. That was the most exciting game I've ever seen.

see the above list that has the SDL breakdown. they do not break it down in the schedules.

I know that there has been additional movement in the divisions. Once the divisions were posted, teams could request a change to their division. DT Lopez is also playing in D1 now. I am sure there are others that moved up and down based on who all is competing, so the above list will no longer be 100% accurate.

SDL did not send out a revised list. that is the best I have.

Which Texans team is the "top" team? Is it Gall's?

I would say the top texans 03 team is DTS by far.

Gall's team is similar(ly very good) IMO, but tomato tomahto.

I will just say it was too dang cold out there yesterday for the boys...SDL should have cancelled the afternoon games as well...
