Well, now that the D2 teams have a couple of games in, we can see how they are starting the year. I think CCO finished at the top of this group last year (not counting teams promoted), but looks like they may have a tough row to hoe to do that again. Kicks have shown that their spring season rise was no fluke, and appear to be the team to beat in D2, with strong wins over CCO and FCD Blue. As rumored, DTR is clearly improved, and is already 2-0 with newfound offense. At the other end, if you had to pick two for relegation at this early stage it would be OCU and Longhorns, and that may hold up. Teams who might challenge Kicks and DTR for the top are TFC, CCO, HUFC & FCDB. Next weekend may help sort those four out some.

OCU's up to their old tricks and have given up 8 goals already. Their defense was/is/will be the worst in the league.
They will definitely be regulated this season.

Liverpool has had trouble fielding a team, with 11 on Sat and 12 on Sunday, with rumors it will be 12 at best all season. TFC has put up some nice scores, and I am hesitatnt to put Kicks and CCO in the hunt until more of the season progresses. DTR with 6 goals for in 2 games so far is only 2 goals away from matching their total scoring last year, so it would seem they have improved the offense a bit.

Why are you skeptical about Kicks? CCO was at the top in the spring and Kicks handled them 3-1, then shut out FCDB. I guess Kicks played sub-par part of the season last year; do you expect that again at some point? I thought maybe they had their issues cured.

Didn't know Liverpool had numbers issues, just saw that they were off to mediocre start. Did they lose some players after signing day?

Not skeptical, just hesitant. Haven't watched them play yet this year, don't know what happened to their roster over the break or how many they are fielding these days, and Kicks over FCDB doesn't tell much given Renfro's last season and reports he lost quite a few players. Likewise TFC lost some players from last year. DTR has improved scoring based on the first 2, but 2 games is not enough for me to go out on a limb yet for any team. There were a lot of roster changes on a lot of teams this year--at least two more rounds before I get comfortable even thinking about who will likely be in the hunt or trying to avoid the bottom

If LP truly is at 12 now, they must have lost some after signing, since classic requires 14 to take a bye.

I really think Kicks will be the team to beat. they scrimmages throughout the summer with top Division 1 teams and gave them a run for their money. We shall see with time.....

I think the wild card for this fall season is going to be H1N1 and the regular flu. I know it effected some teams in D1 last week. When you end up with several of your players out with the flu it will change the outcome of the game.
Also, when was the last time that anyone held a practice outside....
