Where Have All The Good Times Gone?

Has this lively group really fizzed out. Sure seems like there will be quite a bit of movement in this age group. 98 PA teams pulling up and new 99 PA teams pulling down, what to do with little Waldo? Classic League will surely be watered down further. In the words of my friend Ruben Blades;

Let us ponder;

Solar Red - A completely different team without PA players. Not sold on coaching. Will they keep the ugly two headed coaching approach for both 98/99 PA? Dime que no.

DT - Coach muy loco en el coco. Anyone headed to give 98 PA a try? 99 PA team will certainly draw a few away. Team will be watered down at the very least if it stays together or will everyone head for the mountains. Una cerveza por favor.

DTR - One kid can make a difference. Practices are a waste of time and team was on the decline. Similar comments to DT. Maybe they form one strong team from what's left of the mess? Hasta la vista baby.

DTS - Mucho mas cervezas. How many more kids can he find from the woodworks to replace the fallout? Has this team been figured out, losses at the end to Arias and SR (BIG) would indicate so. Coaching own son catching up. Que honda, mijo.

BARCA - Is team really headed to FCD, or at least what's left of it? Rumor has it they will lose a couple solid players to both 99/98 PA, but which PA is the question. Oye como va.

FCD Arias - Kids have been playing together for quite sometime, how much longer will it take to realize coach is limited. With weakening of top teams, this team may rise. El tiempo lo cura todo?

FCD Premier - Is this team still together? This team is forcing FCD to re-consider the term "Premier". FCD hurting in the 98/99 age groups all the way around. Will they have an answer? Hay ropa tendida.

FCD Lopez - Lucky season wasn't a game or two longer or would find themselves in D2. A new hair style would certainly help attract better talent but coach may be too set in his ways. Shouldn't lose any kids to PA. La cucaracha, la cucaracha, ya no puede caminar.

Titans - Team most likely disbanding and should. They gave the Comets their only victory, seriously? Kids will scatter and a couple good ones should land on good teams. Hay caramba.

Comets - Even the coach has abandoned ship. Truely a poor showing this year and a good thing they fell apart cause they would get shellacked in D2 as well. Don't worry boys and girls, time heals all wounds. El tiempo lo cura todo.

Classic will also be joined by the Wizards and Liverpool. Wizards seem to be the better team and clearly improved as the year went on. Can either of these two do better than the defunct Titans/Comets next year? El tiempo lo dira.

One of the biggest problems with NTX soccer is the system itself which is geared around the large clubs. They have all the power and control and we are largely to blame for allowing it. Stick together parents, and find a coach that cares more about developing YOUR bb than taking your money. Don't allow them to divide and conquer.

Not even a peep from you 99ers.......... People must be quite nervous as they vie for little waldo's position and playing time next season. Not even the ones usually spewing all the nonsense, you know who you are. Have you finally come to the realization that your dream and waldo's play aren't quite to par? Here's some advice, apply now to be the team manager and start sucking up so you can get some non-earned playing time. That should get you by one more year. Oh and don't forget your checks please.
