Give me time...Give me time. I need to look at the brackets a little closer. I just posted it after I realized they were up. At first glance its going to come down to the top 4 in the semi's. I think the matchup of FCD Bazan vs FCD Pino (mini-El Clasico) is going to decide Bracket D and have the privilege of playing Gall's boys.

DT Gall 4 vs FCD Bazan 2 They want another shot at DTS again and will be focus for this tournament.
Solar Red 2 vs DTS 3 Another epic battle with these two teams. I believe the speed, size, and the creativity of DTS will over power SR possession style of play.

Finals:

DT Gall 2 vs DTS 3 The first matchup was a blueprint on how to stop DT Gall big forward. I am sure Gall will have made some adjustments but Gall boys have relied on their star all season. Some habits are hard to break. DTS will have their hands full that day with DT Gall. Both teams have speed at all key positions. Will come down to which team makes the less amount of mistakes.

I am sure it will be a better a game by Gall. Yeah they had already wrapped up first place but you never want to lose to your inner club rival. Its like your bb's team losing to liverpool keegan when your team is perceived to be the better team between the two.

I'd say it's GALLs, to lose. Huge heavy favorite.

I had indirectly heard that Gall's big/intelligent general on the back line has been injured and may be out weeks/months(?). Can anyone confirm?

If true, it would have a bigger impact than losing their big offensive stud. If true, than I think SR would have a clear shot at taking the N Tx title.

Not sure where you got this info, but Bachman Lake still has a game in hand and, with a win, comes in first.

Bachman won their last game so they are in first place. They had their hearing tonight about using an illegal player,but I doubt NTX will do anything to them. Ignorance is bliss.

Fc red is hard to figure. I hear they have a speedy scorer! Guess that game at 8 will be won by who gets to sleep that night!

Something to watch for.

Bracket A Gall vs Solar Partain... Solar gave DT all they could handle in their CL game in spring. DT only beat them 2-1. Could be an upset in the making.

Bracket B SR vs Titans...They tied in the fall session 1-1. If the Titans of old show up and SR has an average game. This could be another upset in the making.

Bracket C DTS vs FWFC.. FWFC has beaten DTS before but not in a long time. Its youth soccer so anything can happen.

Bracket D FCD Premier vs FCD Bazan...I would say familiarity between the two clubs who practice at the same complex should make it for an interesting battle. FCDP beat them in the Mike Brown tourney and FCDB beat Premier in CL play. I might have to stick around for that game and see if PG-Boy beloved Premier can keep that oh so CRISP passing he talks about all the time against a top team.

Being Classic league Grand Champions and North Texas State Cup Champions are two totally different animals... Not saying it cant or wont happen that Gall would be both. We just have to wait and see.

i still say meh, just another tournament at this age. if vedral won, would you consider them the "champion "of north texas? (no disrespect meant to vedral, just used them)
