Another Change in 97 Classic League Empty Another Change in 97 Classic League

Post by hoosier41 8/2/2012, 9:50 pm

I am hearing that another D1 team did not make so FCD Gold has moved back into D1. Can anyone confirm what has happened and if so does that mean the 3rd place D3 team moves up to D2 and D3 needs to find one more team?

Made: Andro, Solar, DTR, DTFtW, FCDB, FCDC, TFCR, FWFC

So if true it is either Tigres or Rayados but I find that hard to believe BUT I was shocked IE didn't make so what do I know

That would mean FCDG would come back up and I guess Barca up to D2?

Then D3 would get NTX Strikers back?

Not 100% sure this is right, but heard the Strikers folded. If incorrect, my apologies.

You are correct. Strikers did fold after losing the challange games.

So if that's the case, Barcelona would move up to D2 and whoever is next in line from the challenge games would make it in to D3.

Thanks for the all the input. In piecing together various information, it seems FWFC did make but declined the bye back into D1 which opend the door for FCDG. So it would seem that these two just flipped spots and will not cause any other changes at this time but there is still a few weeks left!

I think Barca stays in D3?

Off the top of my old head:

D1 = FCDB, FCDC, FCDG, DTR, DTFW, Andro, Solar, TFCR, Rayados, TigresGold
(IE didn't make, FWFC & FCDG dropped but FCDG goes back up due to FWFC declining, TFCR & Ray came up)

D2 = FWFC, DTRW, SG, TFC, TFCB, FCDS, DTRS, otherTigres, AmLight, Tejanos
(TFCR & Ray went up, FWFC & FCDG came down but FCDG went back up making DTRS come back up from D3, TFCB & AL came up)

D3 = Barca, FCDWTX, Alliance, RealGP, Hurst, Millenium, Top 4 from Challenge?

Schedules are up for the first two games.

D1 - Looks like Tigres changed their name to American Premier.

It looks like D1 will be really good this year. Most of the teams have picked up some really good players and the top 6 teams look better than the top 6 last year.

SR-seems to have picked some IE players but lost some good players also top 3 team

FCDB-picked up IE players also and should be a top 1-2 team

DTR-also picked up some players from the DT academy team should be top 3-5 team

AR-reloaded and will give all teams trouble 3-5 team

FCDC-did not make many changes and now must battle against an improved league 4-6 team

DTFW-also an improved team easily a top 6 team

TFCR-not much change but did well against D1 comp last year might break into top half but should not be a relegation candidate

America Premeir-had a tough end of year and is sort of a mystery with player movement 8-10 team

Rayados-added some but maybe not enough to stay out of relegation fight 8-10

FCDG-also did not change much but experience should help 8-10

Just my opinions Cool
