Liverpool Willy Wonka
Can someone explain to me why Liverpool Hunt 99 team's coach leaves his players alone when he is losing? Does he have somewhere else to be? It looks crazy to just get up and go. Saw him last year do that against Wizards. The Wiz went up 5-0 in first half and he left the field. He did it again this season when they were getting beat by Texans south. What gives?

Re: Liverpool Willy Wonka
no idea on the answer to your question, but this team was promoted from DII to DI this year so it would appear there is some right things going on; maybe this "disappearing" is a part of it. If it is working then my team may try it

Does the contract state that he doesn't have to coach losing teams?

Well he better keep leaving his team then or whatever it takes to get a reaction cause the way it's looking, they will be right back where they came from.

Re: Liverpool Willy Wonka
I think he had another league game with one of his other boys Classic teams. On Sept. 22, he had a 4pm game at Fc Dallas fields. So, probably left this game a little early to be late to the next.

This action has been witnessed before. Every time he is losing he leaves. He leaves boys with no Asst Coach or anything. Weird, I wonder what's going on under that silly hat.

I've heard it is because of the coach having 6 teams and not being able to manage all of them at once. Is this fair to the kids and parents? Sounds like its all about the money.

Parents. Not sure if that includes smaller no classic kids and/or academy. Maybe an exageratoin from frustrated parents as well. But also has other obligations within the organization. Great coach but just sounds to busy.

Re: Liverpool Willy Wonka
Yeah, I can see that. He hasn't had an academy team since the 01s, but he is stretched thin at four select teams. Having said that, in a club the size of LP, there DEFINITELY should not be any problem supplying backup. Seriously.

Maybe you should worry about your team and if you want to question him leaving the game that is ok, but the Willy Wonka comment is out of line.

It makes reference to his physical appearance in a negative manner.

Re: Liverpool Willy Wonka
You’re not that naïve, he was not referring to Willy, he was referring to the Oompa’s. Also not sure that the Chocolate factory was from the Netherlands, I believe the story was based in England.

Dont feel it is out of line. Just an observation. Other people have made good comments that address the issue. Dont get your panties in a wad.

I'm confused. Does he look like Gene Wilder, Johnny Depp or Deep Roy?afrankw wrote:You’re not that naïve, he was not referring to Willy, he was referring to the Oompa’s. Also not sure that the Chocolate factory was from the Netherlands, I believe the story was based in England.

Actually I am not that naive. but I believe I was actually the one to come up with that name on the board. the chocolate factory may not be in Netherlands but the dutch are famous for two things. Hot blondes and chocolate.
