Now that the '00 SDL season is coming to a close, rank em...
Groups
1. 1a- Bandits, Dynamo ( Last two times these teams have played Bandits 2-0, Dynamo 2-1 ), they play again next weekend
3-8- Solar Red, Texans South, FCD Predator, Wizards, Texans Densk, FCD Copa
Solar playing better and better, Beat Dynamo II and Bandits Black this SDL season
9- Toros, Tigres, ASG, TFC Others?

1. Bandits- The gap has closed!! Have not beaten any of the top 5 in SDL(11v11) this season. Tied both South and FCD Predator and lost to Dynamo and Solar Red but are still very good.

I think after the top 4 there is a drop off.
5.FCD Predator
6. Wizards

More drop off
7. FCD Copa
8. Texans Densk
9. Andro Red
10. ASG

Toros and Tigres didn't play SDL but I think they will struggle 11v11.

No way you can rank Solar Red ahead of Bandits. Against them the last few months scores have been 3-1, 2-0, 7-0. Solar beats the Bandits Black team 1-0, not the same team they played in the tournament scores and all of the sudden they are better.

Gap has closed no question, but I think people are confusing the two Bandit teams.

I agree with you, you can't put Solar Red ahead of Bandits yet. But I watch both Bandits and the Bandits Black team play a couple of time this SDL season and could not tell a real difference between the two teams maybe 1 player but not much more. What is the difference Sweep?

Sweep, please tell us the difference. I've also watched a few games including the one yesterday & seems like all the same players to me.

Kind of hard to determine after only 4 SDL games and the impact the Flu had on teams during that time. Not to mention all the missed practices due to wet fields.

It will be nice to see the teams play each other as things get back to "normal."

Good question and watch them again. It is usually 4 starters a weekend and the 2-3 kids coming off the bench. The other change is each kid on the Bandits has a "core" position on the Black team the coach switches them up ie the #1 goalie plays forward and so on. Its subtle but significant. So you may see many of the same kids in very different spots again as an example the lefties play on the right side etc. The Black team is about development and the Bandits team is about winning.

What I agree with is the Bandit team that lost to Dynamo and tied FCD and DT South is the same team that has been dominant so the gap has closed or they are just not playing as well.

They usually have 3-4 players from their top Bandits team play with the Bandits Black. The rest of the players are different. You probably think its the same kids because the 3-4 players from the top Bandits team are the best 3-4 players from that team. They are the ones who make most of the plays on both teams. So yea, Bandits Black is pretty tough too when it has those same playmakers, and they look alot alike. In fact, some of the players on Bandits Black used to play on the top Bandits team at one time, so that makes it even more confusing. But the Black team is not quite as good as the top Bandits team because the supporting cast isn't quite the same.

Rankings looks pretty accurate until you get to the last 4, you can add and subtract teams around. Toros have played 11 v 11 tournament and have lost in finals against Texans Desk. Tigeres have played one 11 v 11 tournament only as well. In Toros defense I know they are playing up next season to get use to the 11 v 11. Also have heard from some of the parents that Texas Toros is going to have 3 '00 teams by the Spring Season. But good look to all teams it will be intresting and hope my BB would be in D1 next year.

You have Toros,Tigres and Brazil(60% FC Figo players with rec coach) playing...competition is pretty tough....playing in DESA...close to home....no drive to the land of the Yankee...

I wouldn't say that is tough competition. If it's closer to home that's a good thing but I would rather drive a little bit and play good competition every week.

I wouldn't say that is tough competition. If it's closer to home that's a good thing but I would rather drive a little bit and play good competition every week.

You might just be surprised about the level of competition as there are plenty of talented kids who's families cannot pay the big club fees that populate the hispanic teams...seems like Tigres and Toros/Boca are always in everyone's top 10 and they don't run over everyone...

Slightly disagree with the posted rankings....

1. Bandits (still team to beat)
2. DT Dynamo (teams behind them have gotten better)
3. Solar Red (improving greatly, ready to challenge Bandits and DT Dynamo)
4. Wizards (wins over Solar Red, DT South, Texas Toros in PAL)
5. DT South (tie with Texas Toros and loss to Wizards in PAL)
6. ASG North Gold (improving greatly - tough games vs all top teams)
7. TFC Wells (need to play tougher competition to be ranked higher)
8. FCD Predator (need to play tougher competition to be ranked higher)
9. Andromeda Red (improving and playing top teams very well)
10. Texas Toros (lots of talent, but not performing against top teams)

Outside looking in on the top 10:
DT Densk, FCD Copa, Tigres Academy, FCD Figo, FC Southlake, FCD East, FWFC, Club Classic Orange
Gap has certainly closed all around....
