97's Dallas Texans Fall Classic 11/15/12-11/18/12

only 11 applied teams at this stage.

The Texas South teams only need make the finals for an auto qualifier. Surprised teams from OK haven't signed up. For the North Texas Teams only the winner gets the invite.

I will be curious to see how the brackets are seeded. This thing looks intense!!

FD Blue, FCD Central, Andro Red and ETX Premier are my early picks for semi-finals. Don't see any of the South Texas teams with the possible exception of the Texans making any impact.

I am assuming a 3 bracket (maybe 4) if they can get some more teams. If there are only 3 I guess it depends on how they seed. They won't put the two FCD teams in the same bracket (would they?) and I'm sure they will seed to keep their Texans teams with the best chance to advance. So my gut tells me there is going to be some bracket fratricide. No matter, you have to win it all to get the qualifier anyway (unless your out of NTX)

Man U Houston Southbelt brings quite a good resume and always does well in the DT Fall Fest.

Way to early to predict. I expect at least 10 more applicants, at least 3 being PA team.

This does not surprise me in the least. Auto qualifier for any finalist (outside of NTX) is a huge plum. Best 11 isn't going to win this thing more like best 20-22. Compressing 4 or 5 high quality games in 48-72 hours is going to expose depth issues. For example, I look at Solar Red's Classic League run of form versus their performance at PLD. Its one thing to get through a one game weekend with 12-14 guys another to play 3 bracket games without going 18-22 deep
