thread is quiet because CL is no longer relevant at this age in NTX. North Texas HS now has the attention of the soccer community and for sure the college scouts(for players in this area). The best HS coaches far outperform the CL coaches in general and that has been recognized at the college level.

Need to check your age chart, only boys born in August of 1998 would be in High School in this age group, the majority of these boys are still in 8th grade. Not sure as many people as you think care about high school soccer or they just don't post about it.

The majority of kids in the age group are still in middle school.

this thread was quiet cause' of the other two threads that were poppin' yesterday, ntx HS really? you do realize soccer in texas high schools is on the same attention level as volleyball? football,basketball,and baseball rule HS sports every other sport is just extra, ALL the top scouts are usually visiting the academy games followed by select showcase tourneys HS soccer is 3rd tier as far as that goes and FYI the best HS coaches are usually club coaches anyway,not sure wre you got your info but this topic has been beat to death on this forum! lol!

LMAO That is the funniest quote I have seen in a long time. Actually talk to 2 college coaches who said they don't go to any highschool games at all for scouting. Wrong age group and just plain wrong. This aint that kind of football

don't know everybody but did talk to 2 and like it or not thats what they said. And I understand that some boys take their highschool soccer very serious in fact maybe even most.

So okay I apologize that is my mistake. College coaches are not limited on recruiting trips. They do try to go to as many highschool games as possible. Highschool players that do no select soccer are recruited into top schools all the time. In fact the numbers are staggering (I just looked it up). Highschool soccer is every bit as viable a path into college soccer as select or even academy. Go team!!!!

TO Go99 - What you looked up was topr recruits and their high school is always listed next to their name.. the only non-club players that are recruited by college coaches through high school are NJCAA or new NAIA programs. The only reason a college coach is at a high school game is to help recruit a player he or she found through club.
