97 Boys Presidents Cup

Congrats to Barcelona on a hard, fought win yesterday to win the NTX region President's Cup. Scoring 2 goals in the last 5 minutes to win 2-1 showed a great deal of heart. Best of luck in regionals in June.

Barcelona 97 representing NTX well in the regional Presidents Cup in Alabama. Beat team from Mississippi this morning 6-1 and this afternoon from a team from Arkansas 3-0. One more win and its onto the semi finals.

Barcalona 97 continues to play well in the Region 3 Presidents Cup in Alabama. Today they won a hard fought game against the Dynamo's from South Texas 2 nil. They will be facing Triad Elite from North Carolina tomorrow in the finals with the winner moving on to nationals in Florida.

The Barcelona run in the regional president's cup came to an end in the finals Sunday morning with a 2-0 loss to North Carolina. It was a competitive game. Barcelona gave up an early goal and had plenty of chance but just could not find the back of the net. They then gave up a late counter for the final score. Barcelona represented NTX very well and the boys should be very proud of the way they played and carried themselves all weekend.

Congrats to the Barca coach and players for overcoming all of the adversity and the strong showing in a very challenging tournament. I know a couple of the parents in that team are a challenge in themselves. GOOD JOB! Shocked

I feel it takes a GREAT group of parents to support those tenacious, well-rounded, upstanding group of boys. Congrats Barca on a job well done. We are all so proud of you!!!
