Interesting weekend for DIII, Legacy currently in second place plays the third and fourth place teams. Almost must win both games weekend for TX Lightning Gold and must win both for Liverpool. Good Luck to all, picks in red.

OS, you might want to watch the Ayses play, that will answer your question. My bb is on AE, and I will admit that Ayses play some of the best possession soccer in NTX, and they have lots of speed uptop. You guys can have them in D1 next year.

LOL I've seen it all and seen them play for years and yea they move the ball well and probably the best team around who has never won a tournament? but being apart of the AE team how could you have possibly played against the best teams in NTX to even know that? speed up top that will be good for them when they go to D1 next season just hope their defense has even more speed to keep up with some real speed they will being seeing then, best of luck to them they earned their spot!Cool

Onetouch - I have been telling everyone I could this year how impressed I have been with Ayses Gold...We have played them 3 times and have the best posession. Having played Solar Red several times in tourneys, I would say they have similar styles of posession and distribution. Ayses can be a bit inconsistent at Striker/forward....but I think they will compete well in D1.

I agree OS - had it been a calm wind day, FC Gold would have beat our Central Blue boys by 9 or so!!!! lol

likeEPL, sometimes the D1 posters assume the best soccer is played in D1, and the other divisions could never compete with the size and speed of the D1 teams. What they fail to accept is, that as all the bb's get older, size and speed play less and less of a factor in who wins games, it becomes more of "who can actually play soccer", just look at the posts from DC, everyone in NTX whining about playing kick ball and NTX teams loosing, while the California teams that play "possession soccer" seem to do better. I think both Ayses and FCD Gold will do well next year in D1, they both earned their spots. IMO, most teams in the lower half of D1, are not that much better than the top teams in D2 anyway.

LMAO good stuff bro, for sure being in D1 has not a damn thing to do with playing good soccer but what it is, more 'competitive" than D2 but PA and academy has shell shocked it so usually lower tier teams will do well against the top tier teams, but let me clear some smoke for you sir, most D2/D3/PPL/APL want so badly to make D1 land but now with pre academy and academy D1 is not what it use to be competitively, regardless its not the promised land for anything? if anythng its more cut throat and in no way does it mean that those players are any better then any player on a lower level team all the way down to the bottom of PPL/APL just means the teams did well in winnng games at the QT nd then dropped a few, recruited more as the years go bye. in the end Ayses had the same chance to go to DC as did the teams that went? I for one hope they do well next year in D1 and whoop up on all the big clubs once again congrats to Ayses Gold and FCD Gold for earning their ticket into D1 net season8)
oh and those two fight for first place this saturday should be a great game!

Trashing your own team? That's a very divisive comment.

Interestingly, Barca is doing worse this year and your old team, the Wizards, is doing better this year.

There is a lot riding on your last game. Good luck! Very Happy

its been a crazy year for sure and the bottom 4 teams have for sure been inconsistant! DT top has a ton of pressure on them but with added PA players you think its a lock but.......
