Kudos to UIL for a sensible move that benefits everyone.

...well except Midland hotels, state and fed gas taxes, exxon-mobil and a couple of small muni's with speed traps.

Great decision - all eight teams (boys and girls) coming from the Metroplex this only made sense. Sorry West Texas - maybe next year you can get ONE team through to regionals and we'll talk about coming back. At any rate, it will be great for the schools to have a chance for student body participation and a playoff atmosphere instead of just having small groups of parents huddled in the Midland stands trying to stay out of the dust...

That's exactly how it was, 25-40 mph winds, Sky had a nice brown color to it.

If the students show up, this 4 game sequence, girls teams included, could be the most attended, most exciting HS soccer atmosphere in DFW this year. Hope so and wish I could be there

I agree, it was a smart decision.
Marcus soccer team is very popular also among younger kids, as the team often visits the elementary and middle schools that feed into Marcus.
And I know for sure that many kids went to cheer for Marcus today!
Go Marcus!!!
