Referee Gets Punched And Dies

We are in beginning stages of the tournament season and a lot of tempers flare on the sidelines and on the pitch.

Here is the tragic story of tempers gone too far. Remember this is little kids soccer and the win/loss record doesn't matter anyway.

In a very short period of time, all the trophies and medals will be placed in a box, stored away, then forgotten.

I have been following this story for a week or so. It is sad.

I assume the 17 year old will now face Manslaughter charges (or the Utah equivalent). I also assume he will be charged as an adult.

Prayers go out to the refs family.

This article explains that it was no just the player, he was incited by the parents that should be punished as him. Hope this guy spend the rest of his life in jail. We should take care when people "confused" passion with violence. It is a very thin line and the violent ones knows that.
