Solar in DA Finals in Houston

The U15/U16 Solar DA team made it to the finals at Nationals and play in Houston tomorrow night.

Saw this team play. They are impressive with possesion and ball movement. Now can solar get the u13/14 academy team to play that way? It was jarring to see the difference in play

It will just take time, but the 99 team has plenty of talent to play that way. Kevin and Adrian will get them there because both academy teams play that way. Solar has a good core of kids, look how well the 98 Pre-Academy is doing in nationals and Solar Red 99.

certianly hope so. The U15/16 certianly gives you hope but there is a long way to go.

I thought the Academy finals were better than the Gold Cup game being played at the same time. Solar could have easily won that game if they'd finished their chances. It was obvious that RSL was the deeper team. Solar ran out of gas towards the end. As much as I loved beating Solar back in the day (when they wore red), it was tough watching them lose to RSL. I bet you anything Kevin wished he had Kieth McDaniel or Aaron (left peg) in that game. Looks like Solar is still offensively oriented, even though they appear to run a 4-5-1. Is FCD the only DA in Dallas to claim a championship? Somebody tell Kevin a '78 Comet said he looks old as hell and needs to do some situps.
