Re: Plano Premier League Divisions are posted
By "relatively weak", do you mean the current classic d1 teams are weaker than in years past top to bottom? Do you mean comparatively to other classic divisions? Or are you extending the comparison to other leagues as well?

Re: Plano Premier League Divisions are posted
Is Arlington going to keep everyone together? Or will they create an upper and lower division for spring?
PPL is moving teams up to D1 between fall and spring.
My guess is PPL will fill it up to 10 teams, meaning if Midland Chivas had stayed in PPL, they could have played a fairly competitive schedule in D2 (the 75% of teams in D2 are pretty good from what I've seen), and then in spring you guys would have likely made it into D1 and could have had a competitive schedule in the spring of the top 10 teams - where there shouldn't be any weak teams.

And since this original thread is about PPL D1 - it looks like the teams going into D1 next spring is (if they have 10 teams):R1 wrote:Is Arlington going to keep everyone together? Or will they create an upper and lower division for spring?

(Staying in D1):
America Premier
Texans North
Clockwork
AYSES
(Dropping the bottom two - Tejanos and High Plains Drifters)
(Promoted from D2):
Liverpool Hansen
FC Dallas Silver
United Strikers
NTX United Warriors
FC Tigers
Striders
(Looking at the schedule, Striders looks like they will pass up FC Force - but this is to be seen).
I think that will be a nice group for D1 - if that's how it shakes out for the spring.

R1 - I had spoken to PPL and they said that the top 4 teams will be promoted. I took this to mean that there will not be a relegation from D1. This said 4th promotion will come down to any on of current 4 - 6th place.

Hold it on FC Dallas Silver promotion - if only 4 are being promoted, the winner of the FC Dallas Silver v. FC Tigers will get the 4th spot.AllPaoTeam wrote:Congrats to Liverpool and FCD - Silver, well deserved promotion...LP00B - Hansen wrote:R1 - I had spoken to PPL and they said that the top 4 teams will be promoted. FC Dallas Silver has 17 pts. I'm guessing Tigers have 14 pts now (played N Dallas 40). They play each other for last game. If Tigers win, they will have 17 pts, and Silver will have 17 - Tigers win head to head.
Hansen have at least 19 pts, Strikers 18, Warriors 18.

Re: Plano Premier League Divisions are posted
Nice find... I didnt even factor in FC Tigers considering they were 2 wins away and FC Dallas - can only have 1 more loss ( i didnt even check to see who FCD was going to be playing)..... It will come down to that game... That should be an exciting game to watch...R1 wrote:Hold it on FC Dallas Silver promotion - if only 4 are being promoted, the winner of the FC Dallas Silver v. Re: Plano Premier League Divisions are posted
So that gives you 19 points and the overall lead (Goal Differential). The only team that could get more points is United Strikers. Anyone know their score? If they win then they take the division. (believe my predictions are correct.nteagles87 wrote:FCD Silver beat FC Tigers 1-0

Re: Plano Premier League Divisions are posted
So when the PPL site is updated then the finish should be:
1. United Strikers - 21pts
2. FCD Silver - 19pts (GD determined 2nd Place)
3. LP00B - Hansen - 19pts
4. NTX United Warriors - 18pts
These 4 will get the promotion to PPL D1 for the spring. Congratulations to all.

Re: Plano Premier League Divisions are posted
i just noticed this question... arlington will take top five teams from each oo boys bracket and have a true d1 for spring. if chivas had stayed in plano they would have started in d1 based on 5th place finish last season... we will see how we match up against hurst 00 boys classic team nov 22nd in hurst tourneyR1 wrote:Is Arlington going to keep everyone together?
