Final Week of Fall Season Predictions for D1, D2 and D3

Sorry to see the fall season come to an end, but some great games to wrap of the 1st half of the year.

Liverpool Rush vs. FCD Premier Pino-I usually have an opinion on these marquee games but I really dont know! I will go with a 2-1 final score that can go either way!

Solar Red vs. Dallas Texans South-I got Texans squeezing out a 1-0 victory but it really is a 50/50 guess. Texans have the best defense (5 shutouts in last 8 games) in my opinion and i think that will be the difference.

FCD Gomez vs. Dallas Texans Thornber- FCD can win this game but i think the tactical skills for Texans will prevails. Texans in a close one, 2-1.

Liverpool Owens vs. Solar Chelsea-I really love both of these teams. They play hard every week, regardless of the score. Wish they both could win, so I am calling for a 1-1 tie.

Ayses Gold vs. FCD Goncalves- Riding the Ayses train again this week! FCD got smoked last week by Solar Red. As much as I am impressed by the attitude and work ethic of teams like Liverpool Owen, Ayses and Solar Chelsea I am unimpressed overall with that of FCD. Would bet money that FCD leads the league in Yellow Cards this season. I am going with a 3-2 Ayses win in this one....

So Liverpool Rush finish the Fall season on top with a 3-0 win over FC Dallas Premier Pino.

I moved here from the UK in spring and I have to say I have really enjoyed the first season. Most people are too hard on the game here. The quality being served up most weeks is comparable if not better than that in the UK (at least going forward). I think many of the coaches are comfortable with the technical skills and attacking side of the game, but it lacks a bit more defensive skills, team shape and how to build up play.

The one thing that drives me nuts is having u12 players playing in full size goals. Most decent strikes fly over keepers of any ability simply due to their size and this is something I think Texas should look at.

Oh, and did I mention I chose Liverpool Rush for my son to play in, so I am a happy man tonight. The team has developed very well indeed and are starting to understand that work ethic and attitude are as important parts of the game as dribbling and scoring.

Lastly, apologies to the refs if I was a pain... I don't mean it I just can't curtail my passion for the beautiful game.

Defense is definitely not the issue for Strikers. They play tough defense and have a great GK. Aside from the 2 games against Real and Samba they have trouble scoring. 11 of their 13 goals scored were against those two teams which are probably destined for relegation. It was a similar theme today against LP Gerrard. Tough nosed marking and tackling but ultimately lost 0-2. I thought Gerrard could have put a few more in (but I watched the match with red-tinted shades) and the created lots of good scoring opportunities.

GDWilly, how is the boy that was helped off the field by the trainer?

So who won? Classic only has scores for a few of the games. Curious as to how the other teams did that played today. Anyone know any of the missing scores?

All of the D1 and D3 scores are posted. Of the 2 unposted D2 scores, LP Gerrard beat FW Strikers 2-0. Not sure about Dallas America vs Real score but at least one of those teams could use a Samba-like investigation of players that run up to the field after refs complete roster checks. We should see what high school they attend Twisted Evil

We definitely did not play as well as some of our previous matches. IMHO, match was similar to others this season in that we had plenty of attack and possession in the attacking third but failed to take advantage of scoring opportunities created (remember the sitter at the 6 launched over the bar, et. al). It's not like the match was played on our end of the field with us parked in front of the goal. Goals will come eventually.
