ODP Coaches evaluations?
How can the "Best Eleven" Allstars from Thanksgiving ODP Regionals have EIGHT BOYS FROM REGION 3, and only 1 boy from team top of table? Region 2 also beat Region 3 head-to-head. So the team with only 1 stud wins out. He had some help lol. Team with the 8 best players should have easily won the head-to-head game lmao......COME ON OPINER'S "LET BURN THIS B!#$H DOWN"

another indicater of how poor the coaches abilities are to I.D. talent. there are a few kids in ntx good enough to play.

Maybe. When they miss sure-fire awesome kids, then you have an issue. If they overlook "good enough" kids than who knows, there probably isn't enough time to differentiate with any clarify between the kid that is good enough and the kid who is just a little bit better. If it was just that they sucked at ID'ing talent, then they should have ID'd some of the underqualified TX kids at some point, no?

I'm not sure Shea who was "misevaluated" all the way to the EPL is the best example of anything than the Peter Principle at work in sports.

Looks like the opposite of a national team roster for the 00s with 1 kid each in Region 1, 2 and 4. DA had an impact.
This is what we want--not to be concerned with team results, but focus on individual players.
The older ages do this in latter part of December, so we will see if Texas has a better showing.

Re: ODP Coaches evaluations?
well... from what I've seen of ODP, once you make the team in year 1... you are in. the pool stays the same size, but they just whittle-down the teams they make. Am I right about that? 5 teams year 1, 4 year 2, 3 year 3 (this one for the 01's), etc.
I think the talent in the 01's is not what it used to be.

Yes, I believe he was misevaluated all the way to the EPL...and then disappeared. He is very tall and very fast. He can shoot from 40 yards, but he can't play the game. So, yes, the Peter Principle applies to his career path.

Shea has been injured since joining the EPL. Nobody looks good on the bench with an injury.

Brek has been in the EPL for 2 years. That's a lot of injury time on the bench. LOL!

Not defending him or his skills, just saying he had foot surgery in the 2012-13 season when he first got to the EPL, and that was followed up by a knee injury that kept him out of the start of the 2013-14 season. Hard to evaluate what, if anything, he has developed while there when you don't see him play.
He should probably return to the MLS to get play time and work on his game. Its hard to give an eval of what he's done in Europe with such sparse playing time (due to injury, fitness, or whatever the issues). Yea, his skills didn't look to be good enough for the EPL . . . but Stoke offered him the money and the spot.

R1, I was not speaking to you directly nor berating Shea for taking the dough. Hope my BB has a chance to cash in at any level lol. Just my observations (pre-injury) of him at MLS level. BFS. Horrible first touch.

1 kid from Texas (Georgetown) for the 97s, 98s and 99s.
