Information on Texas Longhorns

Hi,

First time contributor to the forum here. I was wondering if anyone can help. I'm researching information on the Texas Longhorns and would be grateful for any info anyone can provide on the club. From initial preliminary research it appears this famous youth soccer club no longer exists. Can anyone confirm this? I'm interested in any other historical info about the club (date founded etc). I'm from England, so apologies if this subject is old news now in Texas!

They no longer exist. It was 5 years ago they merged with AYSES and I don't remember all of the details, but the merger split apart. Most of the teams stay with Ayses and a couple went different places. I believe all TXLSC ceased as their name the next year.

I'm interested because the club used to visit a local club near me in West London called Viking Sports FC. If anyone's got any info on when the Longhorns were founded I'd be very interested.

Below are two articles that touch on the history of the club and the unfortunate circumstances around the founder of the club. I participated in one of the trips to Europe and there were always rumors and things that seemed a little creepy. Good experiences overall though.

I have a friend that won a National Championship back in the day playing for the Longhorns. They were the club to beat back then.
