Was 18, now 18. AYSES GOLD (FOSTER)
Was 16, now 19. FC PREMIER GREEN (OPOKU)

Two positive surprises are FCD Rangel that has moved up 10 from #12 to #2, and FCD Hedges that moved up 9 from #20 to #11.  I had my doubts about Hedges after they changed coaches from Riojas, but they seem to be doing great.

Two negatives, with one being a real shocker for me, are FCD Guevara that has fallen down the ranks 10 spots from #10 to 20, and the big shocker, Texans Hodder with no wins and that have also fallen 10 spots from all the way up at #7 down to #17. They haven't played any of the top 3 teams, and luckily, they won't have to this fall.

FCD Pino, Liverpool Dalglish, Dallas Texans Faber, and The Cosmos also deserve an honorable mention, all moving up 6 spots.

And finally, Dallas Texans Roudaki - What can be said for 28 goals for and 0 goals against? Absolutely astonishing! Congratulations!

All teams are looking good and playing some good soccer very impressed with some of these teams...

Thethruthhurts I will say this, not taking anything away from the boys but I really do believe the team was playing well already don't believe we should give full credit to Hedges, as a matter a fact I have only seen him at 2 of this team games he always has a assistant coach practicing and coaching the games. Riojas was removed with when the team was very strong and competitive already so I wouldn't give all the credit to Hedges. I am not sure where Riojas is at, but I am sure he is smiling inside. Boys are playing well!!!

Carrillo's team will figure it out they are well coached with good fundamentals...

Kind of a shame things will be changing so much next season. I have no idea what is going to happen with our team. We are pretty even in the number of 04's and 05s. Our kids have been together a long time, but changes were going to happen at some point. We might as well get used to it.

Thank you for the compliments, but I must correct some statements being made about FCD East (Hedges).  Coach Hedges was at all of our QT games, 4 of our 6 league games so far and is at most of our practices after this team was handed to him on such short-notice.  I hate that it’s being implied that he is not involved or doesn’t deserve any credit.  We had a good group of boys to begin with, and they’ve worked hard with their new coach and assistant coach to improve and make some changes.  I appreciate the effort and dedication from all involved and am very proud of where we stand now.  As for Coach Riojas, I think you overestimate his personal interest in our team.

12. DALLAS COSMOS BLACK (DAPAAH)
13. FC DALLAS CENTRAL BLUE (TOPLETZ)
14. FUEGO FC (TORRES)
15. DALLAS KICKS SELECAO (PERETTE)
16. FC DALLAS EAST (HEDGES)
17. TEXAS TOROS SC (LUGO)
18. ANDROMEDA FC (CARRILLO)
20. DALLAS TEXANS SC WEST (CONNELL)
24. ANDROMEDA FC RED (SAWYER)
27. COLLEYVILLE SA EVOLUTION GREEN (SCANNELL)

Don't know, but it also has Dallas Texans Roudaki ranked #1 in the nation, FC Dallas South Red at #12, and FC Dallas Premier at #24. Got to love rankings!!!

Doesnt look like gotsoccer rankings has updated since the Labor Day tournament. I would take this with a grain of salt. Not taking in account recent performance which would raise and drop some of these teams.

Must have updated, rankings have changed. Yesterday I noticed that Ayses and a few FCD teams hadnt gotten any match points since the Labor Day tournament. Today I see October points in the rewards. Still some head scratchers out there. Maybe those teams have played more games and thus more points even though they may not be as good as teams ranked below them?

FALL 2015/2016 Classic League U11 Division 1 *Unofficial* - Page 2 Empty Re: FALL 2015/2016 Classic League U11 Division 1 *Unofficial*

You pretty much nailed it on the head Soccercity.  Gotsoccer awards points for games played that accumulate overtime, so play more games, play more tournaments, earn more points and be higher in the standings.  They do award bonuses for beating teams ranked higher then you, but also some tournaments are worth more points than others because of their size or that they are a spotlight/featured tournament. So you can jack up your ranking by playing the right tournaments, lots of tournaments, and/or lots of games.  Gotsoccer doesn't start ranking teams until u11, so all the team’s past record is moot if it's still on there.
Someone else posted this site:

http://www.youthsoccerrankings.us/

It uses a different algorithm for scoring that accounts for the last 6 months of plays worth of games, the score differentials between opponents, and some other factors.  I think it sort of follows the system that they love over on the girls forums or something like a chess ladder.  So it doesn't care if you play a bazillon games, but rather averages your performance against opponents based on their ranking versus your ranking.  So you do better if you bear higher ranked teams, or if you totally crush lower ranked teams.  According to that site here is what the classic league teams look like, first number is state rank, number in [] is national rank.  Supposedly if you compare the score it tells you how many goals one should be the other bye if they play.

1 FC DALLAS YOUTH PREMIER (Dane)        [16] 32.20
2 DALLAS TEXANS (Roudaki)                    [33] 31.55

All of the rankings are ridiculous. Hard to give this one much credence either as it has 12 of the top 13 and 16 of the top 20 from Southern California. I know that Socal is good, but give me a break. This one is probably even worse than the gotsoccer rankings. Anwyays, just my two cents. Enjoy the rankings!!

Wow, the year is already over! Lets look at what has changed in the ranks over the course of the year from the beginning of the year, to mid-year, and now the final rankings:

Was 1, then 3, final 1. FC DALLAS PREMIER (DANE)
Was 2, then 1, final 2. DALLAS TEXANS (ROUDAKI)
Was 12, then 2, final 3. FC DALLAS SOUTH RED (RANGEL)
Was 4, then 6, final 4. FC DALLAS RED (GOMEZ)
Was 5, then 4, final 5. FC PREMIER (FORZI)
Was 11, then 5, final 6. FC DALLAS (PINO)
Was 13, then 7, final 7. LIVERPOOL FC AMERICA DALGLISH (YOCUM)
Was 20, then 11, final 8. FC DALLAS EAST (HEDGES)
Was 14, then 8, final 9. DALLAS TEXANS SC FORT WORTH (FABER)
Was 3, then 10, final 10. DALLAS KICKS SELECAO (PERETTE)
Was 6, then 12, final 11. ANDROMEDA FC (CARRILLO)
Was 9, then 13, final 12. DALLAS TIGRES (MENDEZ)
Was 15, then 9, final 13. DALLAS COSMOS BLACK (DAPAAH)
Was 8, then 14, final 14. DALLAS TEXANS SC SOUTH (HERNANDEZ)
Was 18, then 18, final 15. AYSES GOLD (FOSTER)
Was 10, then 20, final 16. FC DALLAS ETX (GUEVARA)
Was 7, then 17, final 17. DALLAS TEXANS SC RED (HODDER)
Was 19, then 15, final 18.  FEVER UNITED (MARISCAL)
Was 16, then 19,  final 19. FC PREMIER GREEN (OPOKU)
Was 17, then 16, final 20. EAST TEXAS WILDCATTERS SC (ENGDAYEHU)

FC Dallas Premier (Dane) squeaked out a win vs. Dallas Texans (Roudaki) to make it back to #1 near the end of the season.

FC Dallas South Red (Rangel) started out strong and finished strong at #3.

FC Dallas Red (Gomez) played steady and held on to finish at #4.

FC Dallas (Pino) finished at a respectable #6.

FC Dallas East (Hedges) advanced throughout the year and did amazingly well, finishing at #8.

Not sure how they did it, but FCD ETX (Guevara) made a comeback from #20 mid-year to #16, saving themselves from dropping all the way down to Division 3.

Dallas Texans (Hodder) finished at a somewhat surprisingly lower ranking than expected at #17, but hanging on to a division 2 slot.

FALL 2015/2016 Classic League U11 Division 1 *Unofficial* - Page 2 Empty Re: FALL 2015/2016 Classic League U11 Division 1 *Unofficial*

Post by thetruthhurts 4/11/2016, 2:32 am

I know there are some huge changes coming for most everyone. There may be teams that would have stayed in the top divisions, but with the age pure mandate and the new Development Academy for U12s, they may simply not exist this coming year as an 04 team in Classic.

Regardless, I wanted to go ahead and look to see who would have been in each of the divisions if all of the up coming changes wouldn't have taken place:

2016/2017 Division I
1. FC DALLAS PREMIER (DANE)
2. DALLAS TEXANS (ROUDAKI)
3. FC DALLAS SOUTH RED (RANGEL)
4. FC DALLAS RED (GOMEZ)
5. FC PREMIER (FORZI)
6. FC DALLAS (PINO)
7. LIVERPOOL FC AMERICA DALGLISH (YOCUM)
8. FC DALLAS EAST (HEDGES)
9. DALLAS TEXANS SC FORT WORTH (FABER)
10. DALLAS KICKS SELECAO (PERETTE)

2016/2017 Division II:
11. ANDROMEDA FC (CARRILLO)
12. DALLAS TIGRES (MENDEZ)
13. DALLAS COSMOS BLACK (DAPAAH)
14. DALLAS TEXANS SC SOUTH (HERNANDEZ)
15. AYSES GOLD (FOSTER)
16. FC DALLAS ETX (GUEVARA)
17. DALLAS TEXANS SC RED (HODDER)
18. FEVER UNITED (MARISCAL)
19. ATHLETICO ESPANOL (BURCIAGA)
20. FC DALLAS NORTH BLUE (MOLINA)

2016/2017 Division III:
21. FC PREMIER GREEN (OPOKU)
22. EAST TEXAS WILDCATTERS SC (ENGDAYEHU)
23. FC DALLAS CENTRAL BLUE (TOPLETZ)
24. TEXAS TOROS (LUGO)
25 - 30. To be decided in challenge games.

Regardless, I wanted to go ahead and look to see who would have been in each of the divisions if all of the up coming changes wouldn't have taken place:

2016/2017 Division I
1. FC DALLAS PREMIER (DANE)
2. DALLAS TEXANS (ROUDAKI)
3. FC DALLAS SOUTH RED (RANGEL)
4. FC DALLAS RED (GOMEZ)
5. FC PREMIER (FORZI)
6. FC DALLAS (PINO)
7. LIVERPOOL FC AMERICA DALGLISH (YOCUM)
8. FC DALLAS EAST (HEDGES)
9. DALLAS TEXANS SC FORT WORTH (FABER)
10. DALLAS KICKS SELECAO (PERETTE)

2016/2017 Division II:
11. ANDROMEDA FC (CARRILLO)
12. DALLAS TIGRES (MENDEZ)
13. DALLAS COSMOS BLACK (DAPAAH)
14. DALLAS TEXANS SC SOUTH (HERNANDEZ)
15. AYSES GOLD (FOSTER)
16. FC DALLAS ETX (GUEVARA)
17. DALLAS TEXANS SC RED (HODDER)
18. FEVER UNITED (MARISCAL)
19. ATHLETICO ESPANOL (BURCIAGA)
20. FC DALLAS NORTH BLUE (MOLINA)

2016/2017 Division III:
21. FC PREMIER GREEN (OPOKU)
22. EAST TEXAS WILDCATTERS SC (ENGDAYEHU)
23. FC DALLAS CENTRAL BLUE (TOPLETZ)
24. TEXAS TOROS (LUGO)
25 - 30. To be decided in challenge games.

Although somewhat expected, I want to send a special congratulations to FCD Premier and the Dallas Texans (Roudaki) for their fantastic year long play. I think we are very lucky to have such high caliber teams in our area.

I really have to give special mention to the Texans Club for staying so competitive in such a market that could have become so easily dominated by FC Dallas.  While I am personally partial to FC Dallas, I understand the benefits that having a rival club such as the Texans, really is. Competition keeps all of us honest and hardworking. Really glad to see other competitive teams from other clubs as well in the top ten - FC Premier, Liverpool, and Kicks.  What a statement they have made by being where they are with great talent on the field as well as on the coaching and other staff.

Congratulations to all of the coaches and players that were successful enough to have earned their place in Classic for another year!  We'll have to see who stays as U13s and who tries to qualify again as U12s.

It's been fun to be on the 05 board this year. I've tried to keep it interesting, but now its time to move on to the 04 board. Take care my age pure 05 friends!

Thanks for the kind words truth hurts. Although the end of our season was a chaotic mess due to various circumstances, I am proud of our kids for fighting through and giving everything they had in those last three games. It was an unfortunate set of circumstances. Hopefully the three weeks to State Cup will help resolve those issues and set us back on the right track. I will also say I have been more than impressed with the great coaching we have received. People can say what they want, but, Hassan Nazari absolutely knows his soccer. I am grateful for the time my son has had with him. He has grown tremendously over the last year. Good year for all of the 05's. I once thought our soccer talent was lacking in this age group. It has proven to be much better than expected. Keep up the good work. I have seen some very good 05 (Sep-Dec) players as well and think they will greatly add to the depth of this age group.
