00 - PLD Final Results

Anyone know the final results of PLD for the 00's?

Andro won in Gold Bracket. 2-0. Don't know about Silver A&B

Results are now posted. Huskies (Silver A) and Real GP (Silver B) were the other winners although I think Real GP (D3) should have taken the spot of some PPL teams and been in Silver A and not B to start with. No knock on the PPL or APL teams, they appeared to hold their own.

One observation: U-16 Girls had 41 games at Russell Creek and 12 games at FC Dallas Soccer Fields while U-16 Boys had 2 and 2, respectively. Anyone care to comment on what that means?

Cannot speak to what it means but we had matches in Lewisville, Celebration (Allen) for pool play and then Carpenter for QTR/Semi and all the fields we played on were in good to excellent shape.

Too many teams and too many different divisions all called "Silver". Someone needs to offer a competing Labor Day tournament, local to NTX, that focuses on "quality" vs. "quantity". Maybe some sort of pre-season invitational.

The game we had at Celebration reminded me of a scene from Batman where the slope went from the Southeast side to the Northwest side. You could still see the corner stick and the flag but probably not the first two feet from midfield on the parent's side. In addition, Carpenter has some fields that harken back to hockey arenas in the NHL like the old Chicago Stadium or Boston Garden with 80-90 percent narrower fields/surfaces than say the old Montreal Forum.

I'm thinking this deserves a reverse Title 9 suit....... since there are no D-1 opportunities for Boys......
