Are CL Cancellations Just Random These Days?
Tonight's games cancelled. I'm baffled by this one...

Our practice field was very wet last night so it doesn't surprise me. But one would think Richland would have better draininage for the money we have to pay to play there.

Richland has good drainage but an extra 3 inches of rain on top of recent 6 and 3 inch rains is hard to overcome.

I guess I should have been more specific, our temporary practice field was very wet...but our official practice field actually looked pretty good yesterday except for a couple puddles. Too bad we have to stay off of it as our winter rye fills in cause it is looking sweet:)
And yes, I agree Richland does have good drainage. I just think they are overprotective at times and I am sure I am not alone. The fields are really not even that good compared to Moneygram.

uh...not enough apparently:)
seriously, I guess when one stops to do the numbers even a budget of $750/team x 240 teams is likely a challenge and most parents do not have any idea how much it costs to properly maintain a soccer field. A cost of even $20K per field per year would not be unrealistic considering irrigation, landscaping, electricity etc. but I suspect the German already knows this and is just egging me on. Fortunately I am not one of those parents, sorry:) It just stinks that it seems like our kids never get to play, surely every can agree on that.
