GotSoccer GLOBAL Rankings

Glad to see they're finally giving us the credit we deserve by globally ranking us!!!  Wait, all of the teams are from the USA?  Obviously we are the best in the world (in a Cleveland Browns kind of way)...  -LOL- GLOBAL RANKINGS!!!

The global ranking is USA and Canada. The problem is that we're the only ones that use GotSoccer unless a team from a visiting country plays in a tournament that requires it.

Well the Cubs just won the "World Series". The NFL, NBA and NHL winner is called "World Champion".

It is an American thing... Now just imagine if we tried to called the winner of the MLS Cup the World Champion!

MLB, NBA, and the NFL champs pretty much are the best teams on the planet (I imagine NHL would be a stretch)... MLS has a LONG way to go, but hey, at least they're here!

I would imagine the NHL champion is the best club hockey team in the world. That team will almost assuredly have more Canadian/European players than Americans, but the NHL is widely acknowledged to be better than the KHL or SHL or whatever is judged next.

BB has a couple World Champs trophies in the attic/closet somewhere for 3v3 Disney. Didn't see a lot of European, SAmerican, or even California teams representing at said tourneys. Just a bunch of Midwesterns trying to escape winter in January. But hey, take what you can get.

GotSoccer is run by a local company in DFW. They are in the process of attempting to roll out their system globally, hence the addition of the global rankings. Won't mean much until the roll-out has some success obviously but demonstrating a global ranking set-up when pitching to international clients matters (which is why you roll out the rankings before taking your system global).

But don't let a local company trying to grow in a sport we love stop you from ripping them to shreds for not being perfect from the outset in your eyes.

I was laughing, not ripping... Good for them trying to expand IMO... I would think a continental ranking would fit nicely in-between National and Global, but that's just me...
