How does that happen with all the talent on that team? And FCD Suarez got hammered 6-0 by Dallas Texans Stavrou, bad day for FCD, looks like they will need to do some heavy recruiting going into DA next year.

Maybe they need to recruit all new kids given the failures, or it's a single day of data points in a very long process that is ultimately meaningless. Probably one of those two things or somewhere in between...

So FC Dallas lost a game they should of won, it happens. It's not a big deal and does not mean they are in decline. We are talking about 10 year old kids, they are prone to have a bad game from time to time.

thought I was the only with some common sense. it seems every issue in our society causes an extreme view one way or the other. some 10 yr old kids lost- big deal. that is why they play games. it doesn't count for anything. the same with the issue of the shooting celebration for Allegiance. I don't think the timing was great, but they are 10 yr old kids. I highly doubt they had an ulterior motive when performing it. let the kids have fun. they probably saw it on a video game. we all want a reason why for everything and the simple answer is that they are KIDS.

They are just 10 year olds so it’s hard to expect true consistency but I did think the academy team was built for this and expect them to bounce back fine.

Youth Suarez is just playing harder teams now. I don’t think they have beat a 500 team besides the infamous punch game and then tying Liverpool Owen in a while. All the top teams have beat them pretty easily and as expected

LP Owen hard to figure out, they tie Texans Red in Veterans Cup and then tie Stars and Stripes.

LP Owen was winning against DTR with 40 seconds left when a brain fart moment by LP allowed DTR to tie the game. Against Stars and Stripes, guest players were used and players played in different positions. It's like playing your punter in football on the offensive line and expecting to win. Hard to do.

It might also help you understand that there is not all that much difference in ability between top tier D2 teams and D1 teams...  

You take #22 out of the scenario on Stavrou and well... let's just say they would not be sitting #4 in D1.   Same with FCD Academy - take their one dominant scorer out of the scenario and they become a middle of the road D1 team.

Pool practices start this afternoon. It'll be pretty easy to tell if any more than a small handful of the D2 boys can keep up with the speed of play of those in D1. Some likely will. Most likely won't.

And I'm not talking athleticism.

It was 9 am, even I’m not that much of an alcoholic.

If you think those 2 teams only have one scorer to make the team you are obviously overlooking the passing ability and defense. Those teams aren’t allowing anyone to put up a bunch of goals on them. They both shut down my son’s team when he played them and their goals allowed since select both prove this even against some of the best offensive teams.

Back to the topic:
Two D2 teams make playoffs

Playoffs:
Texans - A
Martinez - Wildcard

OKC or Ayses - B
Rush - C

Martinez plays Texans twice - the first game they get beat, the second, they figure out how to shut off scoring and it is much closer - if not a 0-0 tie to PKs

I can't pick the finals - don't know anything about the OKC team, but I do know Rush can play with anyone and would pick them over Ayses.

No you didn't! But here is the recap for you; We dominated that too. Kids new the opposition, got sluggish, we scored an own goal, then gifted them a goal. Two very bad and unusual mistakes, game over. 2-2!!!!

FC Fast is a actually a good team. Their players are very skilled, just need to play with little more intensity/urgency and they'll be a good D1 team.

There's just something unseemly about posting highlight videos on this forum. I get it...you're excited about the way your team plays. You should be! The soccer nerd in me enjoys watching game video of other teams even when my kid isn't involved. Youtube has plenty of them...but its the entire game...and it shows your opponent actually touched the ball and sometimes even scored goals as well. Can't we save the highlight videos for Facebook, or even submit them to SportsCenter?!? I'm sure your friends and family will get a big kick out of it. NTX Soccer doesn't need a Lavar Ball wanna be!

For the record...I didn't watch any of these last 2 links cause I already know what they look like...another 50-60 minute game edited down to 4-7 minutes complete with slow-motion and instant replay.

I'll give credit to Fever United for posting their classic league games on Youtube. They posted the entire 9-0 game against FC Dallas Academy. Not some 5 minute edited video that makes it seem like your team is the greatest team in North Texas. I would like to see Allegiance post video from the 6-1 beat down they got from FC Dallas Academy at the Labor Day tourney. Unedited.

I will go big picture with this comment. it is titled U11 Classic D1. seems like a fair place to post a video. much like the statue issue or country is facing- if you don't want to see it or are offended by it, simply don't watch it. maybe the Coach should just start a string called U11 D1 videos? will that make you happy? he has an independent club and is trying to show his coaching style. as a small business owner myself, I understand trying to stand out from the big boys.
