96/97 Predictions for 10/12

Any thoughts for our 96-97 games tomorrow night? Some close calls.

DALLAS TEXANS SC 96B RED FC DALLAS YOUTH 96B PREMIER 2-1
ANDROMEDA SC 96B RED SOLAR SC SOLAR 96B 1-2

DALLAS TEXANS SC 97B RED ANDROMEDA SC 97B RED 2-0
FC DALLAS YOUTH 97 BOYS PREMIER ANDROMEDA SC 97B WHITE 3-0

Well, looks like I was pretty far off. Surprised to see AW over FCDP. Anyone see this game? AW must have been pumped and played their very best team game. Congrats!

No doubt - I thought for sure that FCD would go undefeated the rest of the season. IMHO, closest anyone would come to containing the FCD boys was Solar Red which lost to them 0-2 in the opener. Kudos Andromeda for stepping up and winning. Makes D1's top spot up for grabs and the top 4 spots even more competitive than it was. Fair warning to 5-10, the top 5 more than likely will be on a high scoring alert to get as many GF's as they can in case of a tie for points..

Based on the top 5 standings - Ando white has to win out and get some luck from the another one of the top 4 since they are the only one that has lost and tied.

Unless something happens, 5-10 do not have a shot at overtaking any of these spots. Suarez (#5 in D1) still has to play 3 of the top #4 teams as do has to play. Solar Red (#6) has a chance to move up with 3 games left and playing the bottom 3 teams in D1. Will be an interesting race.

I predict that the following records based on games played:

2. Solar 7-1-1 (Pts 22)
3. Dallas Texans Red 7-0-2 (Pts 21)
4. Andro White 6-2-1 (Pts 20)
5. Andro Red 5-1-3 (Pts 16)
6. FCD Blue 4-0-5 (Pts 12)
7. FCD Gold 3-0-6 (Pts 9)
8. Texans Red West 1-1-7 (Pts 4)
9. FT Worth FC 0-2-7 (Pts 2)
10. Solar Gold 0-10 (Pts 0)[sad face]

Wilcard for potential to be the biggest mover at the top will be Solar Red who still has to play 2 of the top 4 teams (the only one of the top 4 to do so).

Additionally, the Texans Red team IMHO does not have enough in the tank to get to the #7 spot for them to get the bye into the Dallas Cup. they still have to play 3 of the top 4 teams which I believe will be losses and the only shot they have at winning one of their last 4 games will be against Solar Gold.

At the bottom - rooting for Solar Gold to get a win or a tie against the upcoming Ft. Worth FC and Texans Red West teams.

Well to be honest with you this was a horrible game on both teams. FCDP with all that talent no excuses they should of put several in, too many missed oppurtunitys a header that hit the post and too many shots to the goalie. the last 10 mins. they let AW throw them out of their game. as for AW they scored on a handball in the box and was able to beat the goalie on a PK was not impressed with the way they went from their. thought they would really come out and challange FCDP but they had a different stradegy and that was to kill time and just kick the ball out or down field. their goalie was warned twice for taken to long and the second time was penalized. they really didn't try to contend and play, they wanted to win ugly and they did they didn't move the ball well at all and i would have to say shot ratio was 18-4 FCDP, but they did what they had to do to win that game and it work, they did play their tails off and work hard for it. hard work pays off kuddos to AW for their victory. but i would of rather watched good soccer being played and neither team played well. as for FCDP they looked pi@%ed and look forward to the rematch. and i think that game will be GOOD. DTR 3 AR 0 not sure whats wrong with AR their struggling right now and looks like their gonna missed the DC

Disagree with Punisher. I also saw the game and thought Andro White played with heart the entire game. I thought FCD dominated the first half, but then when they couldn't get a goal, they gradually lost their composure and started panicking. The second half was much more even with chances for Andro White and for FCD. Andro subbed a lot, and keeper did get a 6 second call, but second half was an even game and I thought the game was very exciting. FCD had to come from behind for the first time, and failed. Andro White played with determination and fire the entire game and kept FCD from scoring. In my book that's playing well. cheers

i too thought they played very hard and with alot of determination, i do beleive FCDP panicked in the last 10- 15 mins. when they realized they couldn't score. AW was doing a good job not letting FCDP shoot and was kicking the ball out way to many times when their were oppurtunity's to play the ball . i disagree with you that they played well though. because they didn't play well. they did what they had to do to win that game and i'm sure any other team as well as fcd would of done the same if playing a top team. AW played with alot of heart and alot of determination but FCD had them on their heels the whole game shot after shot and they just couldn't score and get one in. regardless of what it's goals that count and i don't want to take anything away from AW as they played their tails off. but when they played AR they played very good soccer. and thats what i like to see Good soccer.

No,knew kids on both teams and watched the game with my kid, just an unbiased observer that wanted to give my opinion.

Went back and looked at this. I was close, besides having FCD Blue and Gold swapped along with FWFC and Texans not too far off.

Just a point of interest - Solar Red wants a rematch with FCD Premier. Wink
