97B-Classic D1 Where did the posts go.
Can anyone explain why there hasn't been any posting for the 97B- Classic D1 teams lately? Has it moved?

not sure whats happened to all the 97d1 posters they pretty much have gotten tired of posting and not much have been talkin about the 97 age group unless it's d2 or d3. know a lot of guys that use to post often but notposting anymore some have left soccer some have joined other teams that might not be doin as well so really not much to post. not sure but this pretty much not a d1 97 forum any more. you'd probly really have to stir something up real bad to get guys to talk again. who kowssdjsoccer wrote:Can anyone explain why there hasn't been any posting for the 97B- Classic D1 teams lately? Thanks for the response....that's too bad. The first half has been interesting - the new challengers at the top and the gap between the top/bottom is significant.

In my opinion, the league results have become more and more predictable, and not much excitment lately, the gap between the top teams and the bottom teams is significant, mainly because of the moving around of players, plus clubs merging teams to create "super teams".
First year of classic was pretty exciting, lots of teams competing for the top spot, some competing to stay in D1, some not to go to D3; I dont think its been near as exciting since then.

Yep, with the Big 4 clubs gearing up for academy, they just strip-mined the 'B,C' teams. Guess the gap will get even bigger when the '97s hit high school..

I agree - not much really to discuss. I'd imagine the Andro teams will look different when academy comes into play and a club combination of the top players will be in gear (assuming the better players stay with Andro - in academy, that's never a given). Players moving in FCD and Texans really did some damage to the second/third teams - but, IMO, probably helped the top teams substantially.
I've been very impressed with Solar Red, but, than again, as with a lot of people - they were not playing up to snuff the prior few years. I wonder if it was the rotating coaches - but, they definitely have their game together now.
I have more fun reading the girls academy posts than even looking around on the boy's side. Although - watching my U11 dd play is a little underwhelming after watching the boy's team.
