Movement in D1

It looks like there is more movement in D1 than last year. Who upgraded? Who didn't?

I have seen a lot of boys quitting soccer this year due to multiple sports and middle school sports this next year.

Total burnout for some of these kids....which could be a completely new topic in itself.

It's the same with the girls this year. Some of the top 97G DI teams have had 6-8 in turnover.

The 97b age group has a bunch of movement. Lucky n+1 is not in effect. August and Septemember tournies will be the unvieling of many new teams with old names.

Lots of movement by many teams...

Don't have to wait until August though...There are a few July options for tournaments as well.

Due to either

too much pressure or weren't enjoying the game anymore, so they lost interest

what a shame. . . . .

Happens almost every year when kids start middle school/jr high - kids leaving soccer for other sports (football!), or as stated above too much pressure and burn out at the ripe ol' age of 12...sad. Sad

Will happen again when they start high school.

Nobody really answered TG's question. I am guessing everyone is waiting to 7/1 to make sure all those players actually sign the dotted line. I will give it a try.

What tournaments are coming up were we will see the "new" teams play each other?

Labor Day is always eaciting but its a couple of months away, besides that one, are there any other that may have good competition?

After signing, vacation what's on my mind! Not too crazy about playing tournaments in triple digit weather. But that's just me.

the German and I will have a beer drinking tournament in late july . Beer and a little water volleyball, all cougers are invited.2 piece mandatory tongue
