94' Team Movement in CL

With the consolidation of Solar and Solar Red '94 Boys Teams into 1 and the inability of FWFC to form a '94 Boys team, there are spots in D1 and D2 to be filled which will create openings in D3 as well. Based on past seasons when similar things occurred, the CL seems inclined to fill those spots by promoting teams who were previously relegated.

So if the same holds true this year, Texans Red West would be promoted from D2 to D1 to fill the void created by the Solar consolidation.

The promotion of Texans Red West and the FWFC bye forfeit will create two openings in D2 resulting in the promotion of Tejanos Elite and FC Dallas (Che) who were relegated last season.

With promotion of Tejanos Elite and FC Dallas, two openings are created in D3. However, who fills those spots is dicier to ascertain. Perhaps it is the order of finish in the Spring Challenge Games where the Irving Tigres and Longview Premier finished 1st and 2nd and were promoted to D3 followed by Mustangs and the DFW Tornados, respectively. So with their 3rd and 4th place finishes, will the Mustangs and Tornados be promoted to D3?

What is the conventional wisdom saying?

It is my understanding the Revolution Premier folded their D3 team and moved 4-5 players up to their D2 team.

That's what I heard too. Apparently, the D2 team lost several of their starters during spring season and most of the D3 team moved up as replacements which left the D3 team pretty much empty.
