TFC Royal 7 - Andro 2

Andro was actually up 2-1 with five minutes left in the half until a PK was converted by TFC. Andro had the best of the first half and TFC must have finally realized they'd have to work to win today. Once TFC found their high gear in the second half, Andro couldn't keep up. Some improvement shown by Andro today, which bodes well for their continued progress.

both of andros goals were the royal goalies fault. half ended 2-2. royal score 5 goals in the second half. Team to beat!

The first goal wasn't the goalie's fault at all. The Andro forward ran untouched through the box and the defense didn't mark him. Can't put that one on the keeper. The second goal, while it was the keeper's fault, was really just an unlucky bounce. It was more a result of the Andro forward's hustle to block the clearing kick and it just happened to find the back of the net.

I would say Monterrey is the team to beat in D2. We have played both Monterrey and Royal and I came away much more impressed with Monterrey. Royal has problems with consistent play, and they give up too many goals (2 to Andro and 3 to TFC). Until they solve these two issues, they won't beat Montyerrey. They're still a top 2-3 team though, lots of talented boys.
