TEPAL
DT is undefeated in the current TEPAL league, so they'll do well. Their results speak volumes.
Solar, too. I think the Dallas area teams will show quality. Solar always bring a very fast, smart, and pass savvy teams. Combined with size and aggressiveness.
Andromeda; has been trying out a lot of talent from clubs not named DT, Solar or FCD so they may have some surprises. They have small internal pool of candidates, but a huge external pool.
FCD U11 and U12 will make their TEPAL debuts. The short-ball possession style combined with blazing speed will be on display. If they had more time to gel, the results would be more impressive. At each age level they have about 150 boys in the club pool. Their top teams all play a possession game with quick, stiff passes. Consider; Gentile and Pino's creme-de-la-creme boys on the SAME squad.

Re: 01 fall festival predictions
TEPAL has altered the landscape irrevocably. That's where the quality action is happening at the tournament.
The big 4 still fielding teams in the non-TEPAL divisions are adjusted versions.
The TEPAL boys will be at Ross Stewart this afternoon.

Re: 01 fall festival predictions
Are the Texans teams dual rostering players in both TEPAL and Red divisions? If the tourney allows, that's cool.

Re: 01 fall festival predictions
From my observations at Ross Stewart today, it seems the 01 Dallas Texans' teams are dual rostered for TEPAL and Red Division.
My predictions would've been different I had known the DT teams in Red would be at full strength. It seems the schedules avoid overlapping game conflicts so the DT players can play in both TEPAL and Red divisions.
Solar and Andromeda didn't enter teams in non-TEPAL 01 divisions. FCDP entered a team without some regular starters.
It would've been nice to know that teams could dual roster between TEPAL and Red Divisions. More non-TEPAL teams may have entered the tournament.
If I could re-do my prediction; I will now predict DT to win the Red Division.

My understanding is that the Texans separated the TEPAL division from the tournament and called it a showcase so that they could do just that (as well as playing the games under US Club rules rather than NTX rules). I understand they're the only one of the 4 Dallas clubs to do the dual rostering.
On the 00 side, the only real surprise was Solar struggling and getting a pretty good beat down. Not sure what to think on the 01 side.

Re: 01 fall festival predictions
A congrats is in order for all the winning teams that played hard and honestly which leaves out AZTECS for CHEATING playing two 8th grade boys....which were identified by a class mate...and by the mustache on another boy and ANOTHER that was bigger than the coach, it was more than just two illegal players!!!!!
Yes the coach was questioned about the young men and told they were identified by a class mate his response was....and I quote: "uhhhhh.....uhhhhhh..."
WHY must these teams cheat?????....this coach must be friends with the Bachman Lake coach

Watched the 01 TEPAL games between FCD & Lonestars and Solar & Classics Elite. Some good soccer on display on a great afternoon. One thing that struck me in the Solar game was the incredible size disparity between a few of the players. Solar had a couple of very big players and Classics Elite had a couple of especially tiny players. I have no doubt that they were all legit but it literally looked like 6 years olds playing 14 year olds when these 4 players met up. It was interesting to watch them all do their thing. The little guys were very good and used their skill, speed and agility to have a big influence in the game. It is not always about BFS....

This topic was brought up earlier in the Plano League. The Aztec team clearly looks older than everyone else. However, no one has brought up the issue bc of all the Bachman Lake stuff from last year.
